Well... Hell...

On hwy 24 between swansboro and cedar point is a tiny stretch of land between two bridges... On this lives a place called the yacht club.  It sounds upitty but it is not... This was coolest place in area where richest of rich in area rubbed elbows with the poorest of the poor, and where nobody gave anyone a moments grief.  The bar was always open and the guys would cook on the back deck giving fantastic food away for free... Usually what somebody caught that day... It was a locals place but never seen them mistreat tourists.  Live bands on storm deck were common, and always a great place to relax and enjoy community.

Its gone... Dang it.  I hope they rebuild .

That sucks drew.  Sounds like they gave a lot to the community, I'd imagine the community would be willing to give back.  Just need some help organizing it, I'd guess.

So they should build a dam?
A big one, and levees too. Somethig that holds off nature, but only nature in its most docile form.
