That would almost certainly knock Wisconsin out of CG contention.

Obviously that would suck for Wisconsin. Pending the outcome of today's game at noon it would also impact tOSU/IU.

It might be ok if there is another cancelation such that UW can play another team.

It would put them below the six game requirement.  It would be interesting though....if two Big Ten games were cancelled....if those two teams could set something up?

I'm guessing the Axe game will not be played next week.
no it probably will
just because fans are stupid and say things like we should cancel the game PJ (yeah the guy you make fun of) will not, he will play short handed for the betterment of the game and conference.
however if more cases flow then the conference might shut it down but I doubt that comes form the coaches or AD.  heck if being shorthanded counted we would have called off the first game with Michigan as we were short a lot of major players then too(and still are for various reasons)

I could go on and on about losing guys like.... we are using a holder for a punter and the Kicker is months out from hernia surgery but those are excuse's or facts depending on your perspective.  bottom line is games will get you better and playing is a lot better than sitting them out

our defense is young and its no fault but the coaches for not recruiting guys 2 years ago to cover when you send players to the NFL.  but I have heard a point of view that they are the Northwestern of last year.  We will see

but PJ will play the game if allowed to there wont be any "let's cancel to screw our rivals"

with that said Wisconsin will and should dominate the game next week and once again we will see the Axe stay in Madison

if the D-coordinator doesn't put 9 or 10 in the box and force the young Hawk QB to beat them I'll be pissed

I'm up cooking. Doing Thanksgiving food tomorrow, so doing some advance work. Dressings, cranberry sauce, mac and cheese, and try to operate on this turkey. No matter how long I leave it in the fridge it always seems to be a big block of ice.

I'm thankful the Huskers are playing the Hawks on Black Friday

especially this season, 1st the original schedule had the Gophers this weekend, 2nd COVID could have canceled the entire season

might not be thankful for the outcome of the game, but...........

Brine?

When I did Thanksgiving last Saturday, I bought the turkey on Thursday from Costco thinking they were fresh, not frozen. It was a block of ice as well, and I knew in NO way would a 16# turkey thaw in the fridge in two days.

So I brined it (in the fridge, although if it's frozen you can do it on the countertop to start because the frozen turkey will chill the water enough). Found something I think on lifehacker.com that had an Alton Brown video explaining it.

It ended up fully defrosting, and the brine helps with taste and moisture in the finished product anyway.
