Well, two RAMs.  And a self-professed Chevy guy in high school, which was decades ago, but in my head I still think "Oh, I'm a Chevy guy" despite not knowing anything about brand distinctives as I (thought I) did in school.

The most violent things you can do to an engine are starting and stopping it.

I can't permanently disable my BS ECO switches, but it's the second button I touch when I get in the damn vehicles.

Well after ~4 years of driving it I think Dad's Chevrolet has a bad transmission.  I took it over around '21, drove it off/on for a bit and then started driving it permanently around the end of the year.  Had about ~30K on it when I started, sitting at about 110K now.  It's overall been a good truck, had to fix the A/C and radiator this last summer, dropped about $4K combined on that.  Radio has been flaky for awhile.  I can't sell it, because it's Dad's truck and there's too many complications, so I'm giving it back to Mom and let Brother 1 and 2 fight it out over it.

Anyways I test drove a bunch of trucks over the last few weeks and settled on a '26 Chevy.  I told the salesman no 4 cylinders (turbo max engine) no black trucks.  Has to be 4wd, crew cab, V8 only.  Tested out a Ford and Chevy.  There's not really a Ram dealer I like locally but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.  Best truck I've owned hands down was my '16 Ram 1500 with the 3.0L Diesel.  Really loved that truck.  

The Chevy was way more truck, for less money than the F150, plus I like the ride/interior a lot better.  V8 felt stronger than the 5.0 in the Ford.

Well the manufactures of farm equipment did this in N.Carolina - for a spell i believe.Enterprising farmers were getting together and fixing each others tractors,combines,tilling/planting/seeding equipment and such.The state was shamed into repealing the law if I remember right.

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — Lawyers for Dutch-based semiconductor maker Nexperia and its Chinese owners faced off in an Amsterdam courtroom Wednesday in a corporate mismanagement case that has sent shock waves through the global auto manufacturing industry.

The hearing at the enterprise chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal was called to decide if the judges should launch an investigation into alleged mismanagement at Nexperia. No immediate decision was expected.

The power struggle at Nexperia emerged in the public spotlight in October, after the Dutch government said it had effectively seized control of the company since late September based on national security concerns. Its Chinese CEO Zhang Xuezheng, who’s also founder of Nexperia owner Wingtech, was replaced following claims of mismanagement and fears of intellectual property rights being transferred.


Lawyers for Zhang and Wingtech painted him as a successful businessman trying to guide Nexperia through troubled geopolitical waters. They urged the court not to order an investigation and said Wingtech had been blindsided by the Dutch government move. Zhang was not in court for the hearing.
