For one thing, they have been in the pipeline for years, so they get developed before folks realize the market has slowed.  And for another, the market hasn't really slowed except that adoption is not increasing as fast as expected, and of course government pressure to develop them has lessened.  And perhaps critically, "everybody" is selling them now so the market is saturated.

I know a big burly dude who owns, and loves, a Mustang Mach E.  He's a real country guy, his other car is a huge, jacked up F250 diesel.  But he works for a Ford dealership, got a good deal on the Mach E, and loves commuting with it.

However, he does not consider it to be a real Mustang.

They are pretty fun to drive. The torque with electric motors is pretty sweet.

My ex in laws had a beach house in Ocean Isle that was pretty nice, and a golf cart they used to roam around the island in until they got pulled over by the po po.  That house was infested with roaches though.  I made several attempts to rid them with only partial success.  There was a closet with left over carpet scraps that was full of'em.  The grandmother wasn't the tidiest of people.  

She's the one that had an older Eldorado with faded red paint.  I washed and waxed it one day, the change was remarkable, and temporary of course.  I think she liked it in pinkish better than red.
