I though the White Phantom TD was the previous year against Michigan?

It was.  White jumped over the Line for his TD in this game and he was in.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVECCzfaG4s

Who was it that delivered that devastating hit on OJ Simpson in the 69 Rose Bowl?
Found it.
It was Jack Tatum that decleated the Juice.

Yeah stadium setting-wise Jerry's World pales in comparison to the Rose Bowl. But travelling Buckeyes shouldn't find a shortage of nice places to stay/things to do as long as they stay in Dallas or Ft Worth. Don't bother with Arlington other than the game itself.
I went to the first real football game in Jerry World--the 2009 OU-BYU game--and found that all the bells and whistles distracted from watching what was going on on the field.  The jumbotrons were so jumbo that they dwarfed the action on the field.  It became easier to watch them than the live action.
Not one of my favorite sites to watch a football game.
Concessions were extremely expensive too.  IIRC, a small bottle of water was $8.00.

Wow, can't believe that place is nearly a decade old.  I assume he'll want a new one shortly?

From an OZone article about all of Ohio State's Rose Bowl non-appearances:

"2017: The Rose Bowl is a playoff game, and the Big Ten champion Buckeyes were left sitting on the curb outside because they’re not on the bouncer’s list.
Don’t worry, though. The sunset over the Wal-Mart next to Jerry World is supposedly just as majestic as the one over the San Gabriel Mountains."

Shows you how a 19yo remembers a game from so many years ago. Of course, I was also on the other end of the Stadium in the Ohio State Student section and didn't have a great view of the action down there.

OSU fans haven't moved on from the CFP selection yet
I've never moved to it after Iowa. The rest of the contenders would have had to have a similar drubbing with two losses. That did not happen which left the prospects dead on the vine

well, it's gameday. not real thrilled about major bowl games being played on 12/29/17, a Friday. I think that sucks. I would of much preferred playing on Saturday or the 1st. I would have even taken a game on the 31st, screw the NFL, their rating suck anyways.

with that being said, I think OSU has an excellent chance to take it to USC in this game, but I'm expecting a heavy dose of JT left JT right per usual. I can only dream of Dobbins/Weber getting 25 carries and airing the ball out a little bit. But I think no matter what OSU calls, they should score at least 30 in this game unless they have an Iowa meltdown.

The wild card is Darnold, not that he's necessarily inconsistent or anything, but can he go nuts like he did in the Rose Bowl last year? I think a lot depends on if the OSU defensive line shows up or not. They've been good this year, great at times like against Wisconsin, and at other times just ok. If they bring their ok game and Darnold has time to sit in the pocket,  then I think the OSU LB/DB's will struggle to control the SC WRs and the Trojans might go off.

In the grand scheme of things this game doesn't mean a whole lot other than pride, will both teams show up ready to rock and roll? I think they will, but I also think at this point OSU still has overall a better roster than USC, and that depth will help them to a 38-24 victory.

I think the buckeyes take this one, my guess is 38-27.
I thought I settled my debts that night on the ride home
But I have still got hell to pay

I'm rooting for Ohio State, but USC got hosed on that DPI no-call.
