We stopped at our favorite burger place for lunch yesterday. The city had Peachtree Street closed off, as they do on occasion, for "Streets Alive". It's a pretty neat event, folks enjoy it, the weather was decent. Anyway, Farm Burger has three nice TVs at the bar where we ate, all on the NFL (which I almost never watch).
They had the Falcons on, and they won to get to 6-6, in first place somehow. They were playing with more evident intensity than I often notice in NFL games, so good for them. If they get to say 9-7, I might pay slight attention, probably not, as I'd expect an early bounce in any playoff. But in a way, it would seem like a decent season.
We as fans need to find what makes us "happier" in our fandom and not let an adverse result "ruin our day/month/year". If you become completely apathetic and negative, that isn't being a fan. If ANY loss sends you to despair, that isn't healthy. I know how Ohio State fans feel now as well, and probably FSU fans.
