I'm assuming the freshmen already took dirty money to get there.

It's 100%, absolutely.
Yeah, you can't even get close without it

what percent of congress is dirty?  taking money that isn't clean and they don't want voters to know about
I know a couple of them reasonably well, which is to say they know me and we correspond at times.  I really think many of them are well intentioned and "honest", but if they stay in office any length of time, that starts to change, at least their family members start to leverage the position.

I also think they are more likely to receive "benefits" than money.  For many, the money isn't really the issue, but "benefits" can be.  And of course after 2-4-6 years in office, they become lobbyists, or something similar.

If nearly every football player is on the take, at least the top tier ones, I would think the story would have broken in public by now, and not just one or two guys, it would be such common knowledge and many of them are not good at secrets.

so, Michigan and Ohio St are paying?

I'm guessing between the two, especially Ohio St., they account for almost 50% of 5 stars

5. Clemson - 13.9k
6. Georgia - 13.1k
7. UCLA - 12.2k https://t.co/FSq3WYYAkg

ha! The NFL is the bag man in most cases.

if you read the Michigan boards you will learn that 80% of them think the only reason they can’t beat Ohio State is because Ohio State uses the bag man and Michigan doesn’t LOL.

15% of them think it’s because of officiating, and the last 5% believe it’s a Big Ten conspiracy theory.

If we can ignore the rivalry aspect, they're ignoring which program would be more incentivized to cheat at the moment, lol.

Do we have clear evidence that paying recruits is wide spread?  Or is it conjecture and hearsay?  We know it HAPPENS, we have evidence for that.  Tennessee just admitted it, apparently, I'm not clear on all the details.

But, it's possible  these McDonald's bags only contained say $500, not really a sum sufficient to sway a player one way or the other if this is a competitive market.

I'm not sure.

Finally, a good argument why Alabama, LSU and Clemson are doing it the right way.

There might have been some tongue in cheek in there.

I sidestepped OSU because that becomes a thing. UF is an interesting one because I always feel like their success outpaces their fan passion. I left out UGA because they were sixth on the list, though they probably fall closer to that Bama-LSU-Clemson trio in my thoughts on the matter.

If your host player tells you that you're getting $500 here, $1,000 there, whenever you need it, all throughout your career, let's say.....it might as well be a million bucks to a poor kid.
