The ATL might be one place with relatively low "natural disaster" potential.  There are occasional tornadoes of course, and the ice storms can paralyze the place for a day.

Droughts can be an annoyance.

And there is the pine pollen season.
And don't forget mosquitoes...

I'll live with earthquakes, mudslides, wildfires, etc if it means I don't get bit multiple times every day at dusk.

mosquito bites have never bothered me much, itch a little and then gone the next day

now if gnats, mosquitoes, flys, and other annoying biting insects are bothering me in my backswing at the golf course ............. that's a PROBLEM!

Try Phoenix. Other than the occasional dust storm. Very rare thunder shower (won't say storm haven't seen one in the 7 years I have been here). No earthquakes (at least that are felt), no tornadoes, no hurricanes, no ice storms, no large snow falls. And of course there is the thing that it is not California. However they seem to be migrating here, please take them back.

Try Phoenix.
Nah. CA is hot enough. Sometimes a little too hot for my taste.

Maybe Flagstaff or Sedona. I've been to Albuquerque and it's not nearly as hot as Phoenix due to the elevation. Those would be options.

The altitude here is too high for mosquitoes, and we don't have many ponds.  I have not had a bite since we moved here.

I will report on my well being with the upcoming severe cold snap.

Early model solutions for the Gopher game vs. Penn State on November 9 have a high temp of 23 degrees and a low of 16. Beautiful day.

73°F here, but I'm preparing for the deep freeze.

It's still October, not supposed to be freezing yet.

Too much snow up the elevation.

I liked Albuquerque, but I was only there three days for a conference, and it's too long to have to spell.

I drove to the summit of the Sandia Mountains in short pants.  Not a good idea.

Nice view, back in the car.
