What was wrong with UM's AD?  They won a football NC, a basketball NC.....
It's not that they won. It's how.

Well that's weird.  I thought winning cures all ills.

have we not learned from the 70s
In high school in my AP US History class I made such a compelling argument that the 70s were America's most embarrassing decade, that my teacher put it as one of the essay questions on our year-end Final.

Suffice to say I aced the Final.

Lotta scandal, probably enough to get him canned.

Granted, it’s not load worse than some pretty common stuff, but when it blows up, you catch the axe.

Seems weird.  Wonder why.

Would assume that if you only came up in one academic culture, you might not have exposure to different ways of doing things, which might be good navigating different academic environments.

I get your angle for purposes of that final but I dont agree.
I think 70s music may be peak.  Its music definitely a top performing  decade to counter some supreme lows .

Why can't the rest of the country do what Arizona does?

WRT to staying on standard time?

I'd be all for it. I don't like the idea of permanent daylight time.

Not yet, but where I live it's nice when the sun goes down.

Golfers generally start at sunrise in these parts. You don't see many people on the course after 4PM or so, at this time of year.

I love the idea of permanent daylight savings time.  My pops always referred to standard time as "daylight wastings times" and he was right.

Bring it on!
