OTOH, Jamelle Holieway led the Sooners to the 1985 MNC after Aikman was injured.
We'll never know if they would have accomplished that with Troy still at QB.
Personally, I think it worked out well for both parties. Aikman flourished in a more passing-oriented offense at UCLA and OU got back to basics with the wishbone, going 33-3 from '85 through '87.

Huskers have a long horrible history of changing up Unis for big games vs the Sooners (all Red), Badgers, (all white) and others and then playing like another team
