Rumor is that Cade McNamara is planning to enter the transfer portal.
yeah, after the season. which is obvious- he's not sticking around another year to ride the bench.

don't think it'd make any sense to enter right now. how does that even work? can he even enter right now or do they have to wait til season is over? plus he's already used his redshirt, he can't just magically get another one. he'll have the extra COVID year regardless I think- but that means he just has 2023 to play and that's it- I believe.

your voodoo magic will not work!

in all seriousness I think Penn State has a great shot. They play defense and can run the ball now. That keeps you in every game. Except when you're playing Ohio State and they can drop 60.

But I honestly think Penn State would have an even better shot if they had started Drew Allar over Clifford to start the year. I think they are making the same mistake that Michigan made last year not just giving JJ the job over Cade and letting him run with it. Allar was a 5* QB for a reason- dude has serious talent. Clifford = Cade. JAG. If you want to be a big boy in CFB these days you need an elite QB like Clemson had with Watson/Lawerence, like Ohio State has/had with Fields and now Stroud, like BAMA has had with Tua and Bryce. UGA last year with Bennett was an anomaly- they just happened to have maybe the best defense college football has seen in the last 25 years or more- and Bennett went off in the playoffs. They look like they've come back down to earth this year though without that incredible defense and Bennett is looking more like who he really is.

Penn State is a very good football team.  Clifford can be a PITA with his feet and I really like their freshman RBs, Allen and Singleton.  Those young RBs like to bounce it to the outside, not sure how well that'll work against Michigan.
A decade of Victory over Penn State.

Good that he's not quitting on his teammates, unlike the Wisconsin kid who bailed this week.

if he's only played in 4 games, he can save a season and get started with the new program

think that only works for guys who haven’t used their redshirt. Cade was redshirted his first year at Michigan. That 4 game thing won’t help him at all.

Well mobile QBs tend to get banged up so there's that

oh boy
Jim can use that old pregame locker room speech of win one for the Mike (Gipper)
All seriousness, i Hope Mike Hart has a complete recovery.

I was at the MN game when Jerry Kill went down and it was eerily quiet throughout the stadium.  With Hart Not  knowing it could happen had to be a sight these kids will remember.

Oh I'll bet those kids were shaken. You could see Donovan Edwards visibly crying and both he and Corum having to have to be hugged by other coaches.

I can't imagine seeing your coach fall the ground and have a seizure on the sidelines during a game. Everyone probably thinking their coach is dying in front of them during a game- has to be extremely traumatic. I've actually had a loved one have a nasty seizure in front of me- and had to call 911- yeah it's not fun. Kudos to those kids for rallying in the 2nd half and focusing on getting the win. Cause it's not easy to do what they had to- believe me. When that sh&t happened to me I was in like shell shock for at least a couple days after if not longer. It's not something you want to experience.

advanced analytics have Michigan winning 30-24, and gives Michigan a 66% win probability.

yeah no shit. just pointing it out as it's relevant to this match-up, no?

SP+, Advanced Stats, and CFB Nerds computer model all seem to heavily favor Michigan. As does Vegas, as the line opened with Michigan as a TD favorite. Translation: no excuse to lose this one at home as a favorite- this is a must win for Jeem. But hey that's why they play the games. Any Given Saturday, as they say.
