There was a great article on ZZ a couple of weeks ago in the Knoxville News Sentinel. He came from a single parent home. Had to bounce around from place to place because his Mom lost their house and ended up living with his grandmother and sleeping on the floor with 5-6 other kids. He wanted to go to a school that had a good basketball program so he had ride the train one way for a couple of hours each day and didn't have the money to ride so he would hide in the restroom until the conductor collected the tickets.
Was discovered playing in an AAU game after his senior year after he had more or less given up on a scholarship and signed by UT without him ever visiting the campus.
You have to root for a kid like this.
