Well I’ve read for 10 years now how we’ve out recruited FLA ....... yet they always have multiple playmakers while we have like 1
Revisionist history . UT has never out recruited Florida consistently. Florida can get a top ten class and never leave the state

I'm sure we can get that many and more walking over glass and through fire if they knew someone like High Freeze would be hired. But it won't happen with Fulmer he's not hiring anyone who would over shadow his legacy. His ego won't let him it's all about Phil and always has been some of you just won't admit it.

It was in a downfall lacking talent and discipline a few years before he was fired.  His last SEC championship was in 1998 and he only won two so I wouldn't call that a stellar performance at any coaching level. Two of his last four years he had losing records.

He didn't leave the program in the great shape as some pretend if it was then it proves my point he couldn't coach the talent he had. You can't have it both ways.

He backed into a NC so everyone thinks he is greatest coach ever.  A Clint Stoerner stumble and fumble saved his butt because Arkansas had him beat the entire game.  Then FSU lost their starting QB for the NC game. So it wasn't his great coaching and over powering the opposition he just got lucky.

I really wish we could get in the same type downfall . Fulmer's last 6 years we had 3 division championships and 1 runner up. When Fulmer was fired we had the 5th ranked recruiting class including the future all ACC QB ( which Kiffin told he wouldn't fit in at UT).But Fulmer wasn't good enough for you guys...how's that been working out?
How many Division championships have we won since 2008?
I'll give you a hint....it's less than one.
Have we even been runner up in the years since Fulmer left? Did Jones have one year as runner up when we were favored to win the division?

The 90's were an aberration and will never be repeated.  The world caught up.  Georgia and Florida will have over twice as many future NFL players on their roster as we do for the foreseeable future.  Either learn how to cope with being a middle-of-the-pack football program, or resign yourself to misery as a fan.

One of these years, assuming China's economy surpasses ours as expected, there will be people insisting they know we could "get back to where we were (back in the 20th Century)" if we just had the right POTUS.

Someone still ignores the historical data
President Harry S. Truman said: “The fundamental basis of this nation’s laws was given to Moses on the Mount.  The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings…  If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”

I suppose when a world champion loses his belt he should just give up and never fight for the belt again. Because obviously, the other guy has surpassed his skills and now the ex-champion doesn’t have what it takes to win the belt again.

Chickenshit give up attitude. I suppose Alabama should’ve just given up after sucking for over a decade.

Just shows how much these " hit piece" writers know.
Mullin inherited a program that was full of NFL talent and he's managed to maintain that lever since arriving. There were probably a dozen NFL players on the team he inherited and the balance  all were upper SEC talent level . He had a 4th string QB that's probably going to win the Heisman Trophy this year. Why do you think Mullin jumped at the chance to coach Florida.
At the same time Pruitt inherited a team that probably didn't have D-II level talent. He had to dismiss or run off half the team.
It's just like Spurrier used to say:  it's funny how around recruiting time, Tennessee gets all these great players, but when we play them, we're better.  Funny how that works out.

You can't have this both ways.  Every off-season, you guys in the daisy-orange britches jerk off over all the talent you're bringing in, then bitch about how bad they are when they don't produce.  They're either good or they're not.  FFS

Since 1970, by win %:
1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Florida
4. Auburn
5. LSU
6. Tennessee
.
Someone values pre-WWII success too much.  In the past 50 years, the Vols are boring.

Once again you demonstrate part of what is wrong with our public education system.
As a instructor I would expect you to have reading comprehension skills, but you demonstrated none.
As a instructor I would expect you to have some working knowledge of history, but you demonstrated none.

And as a closet-case future serial-killer, you did what I expected:  failed to address the point.

As a instructor, I would expect you to recognize that I only partially but directly responded to your failure to actually respond to my post in context.
However, you again try to divert attention away from your failings. It is little wonder the public school system is such an abysmal failure.
