There were several Kiffin jock-sniffers over on volchat who praised it as great coaching because that’s what they would do in the NFL. Also Kiffin showed his weak ass by spinning it that he feared a holding penalty would be called had he tried to throw further downfield …… what a complete ass

I can't believe I watched that again.

Talk about miserable luck.  Your freekin' FG kicker is injured, when you need a FG to beat #1.

Didn't we have a backup?  I didn't know, remember that the kicker had missed two already. Including a block.

UGH.

And what's the point of the OP?  What're you supposed to do?  Go for the TD pass?  Or hope your kicker has one good kick in 'im?

The point of the OP is that this “great” coach played to a FG with a kicker who had a rubber band for a hamstring

Man that was a long time ago. Our Vols had a defense back then. If we had that defense this season and enjoyed a little luck we might’ve been undefeated.

Aside from the D-line, the D this last year was pathetic. I haven’t a seen a more porous secondary among any team I’ve watched and the LB’s need another stud or two. They weren’t very good by any stretch. The only coach on the D that should get a raise is Rodney G.

But back to Lane Kiffin, he’s reached his ceiling. He’ll never produce any more that he has at Ole Piss and they’ll be happy with that with a 11-1 record every 5 to 6 years. Kiffin is a really good OC but he’s not the offensive brain that CJH has proven to be.

It was all down hill from there.

TN was stupid enough to hire an AD that was a BAMA alum which hired the worst coaches in the history of football until Fulmer was hired back as AD who then hired Tater Head from Alabama.

Sounds like a conspiracy to me and I still think Fulmer hired Pruitt to get even with UT for firing him the first time.
