For us, the November stretch is:
Alabama
Texas
@Tennessee
@Arkansas
I'm counting Arkansas as a win. At least, we should, and there's no reason not to, even on the road.
The rest are loseable, but winnable as well. If I had to guess, @Tennessee will be a L because we've already shown we can't keep it together on the road at Ole Miss and at Kentucky. Tennessee also has enough talent that they don't need to count on LSU imploding on the road, they're capable of beating LSU with no luck or help.
Alabama is in LSU's heads, whether or not LSU should win that game, they usually don't. And Texas just has too much talent....they look like the most talented team in the country to me, and when they play well, I don't think they can be beat. The question is will they play well....they certainly may not, but I suspect they're going to give us their best game, and that ain't good.
But I also don't think LSU loses all three, just from a general statistical perspective, LSU "seems" better than a 1-3 team in any given stretch. I don't know where it will come from, but I think LSU snags one from probably either Alabama or Texas at home to go along with @Arkansas for a 2-2 run, ending 8-4.
If the guards could manage to look like they belonged in the SEC, that would go a long way toward changing that for the positive. Center and tackle play have been good. The guards are still a work in progress. I don't know if it's a talent thing or it's the ongoing result of mashing together 60+ new guys when OL is a unit that needs time and cohesion above all else. We'll see how they do against Alabama. They've had a week off to self-scout and maybe fix some things if indeed things are fixable. Will be interesting. I think we're good enough that we're going to make everybody work for it, even if we don't pull it out.
