their D has flashed for certain... they'll be exceptionally good by the time UTk meets them.  but offensively?  they aren't good, at all... does two key players make the difference?  maybe... dunno.. [member=58]OrangeAfroMan[/member]?

Callaway is an alright WR but a better thug. He shouldn't be on anyone's team. I believe he's had 2 sexual assault charges and now a charge that is essentially theft in the last 2 years. I wouldn't want him playing for UT, that's for sure. With all of that said, he will make a difference when he returns but not that big of an impact because the FL QB's appear to be horrible.

Yeah, looks like the same old offense as last year.  At the same time, Florida won't see another defense like that until FSU.  But while Callaway might've caught a few passes, neither he nor Scarlett would've blocked that UM front 7.  The OL needed to be strength and it wasn't.

When no one blocks, it doesn't matter who is throwing it, catching it, or running it.

the UF O didn't score a single point against a defense that returned no starters.... that is pretty wild.

Don Brown is seriously awesome.
And that D has plenty of guys that will be in the NFL some day. Especially that DL. Chase Winovich will get drafted somewhere between rounds 3-6. Only thing he really lacks is prototype size as he's 6'3, 255 on a good day. Maurice Hurst and Rashan Gary both look like 1st round talents to my eyes. They do things that don't show up in the stat sheet just bc they are both so freaking disruptive and in the offensive backfield as soon as the ball is snapped. Both those guys have no business being as quick as they are at their size. I mean Gary is fricken 6'5, 290 and looks like he weights about 250 and can move like no 290 pound man should be able to. Hurst's first step off the snap is about as quick as it gets for a 6'2, 285 pound man. He doesn't get enough love. He's a damn penetrating machine on the interior- he was last year too. He is a bad MOFO.

I asked a few lady friends of mine, and they assured me a "damn penetrating machine" would get plenty of love.

Welp, at least I'm not a Texas fan or a Baylor fan, right?  We lost to a good team at least.

This was my ugly uniform game of the week.  All that reloading that Michigan did, and they still wore uniforms that made them look like Power Rangers.  Ugh.  I also don't like the white helmets for Florida.  UF should wear orange helmets, otherwise they just don't look right.

Florida D gonna be very good again.  They just got zero help from their offense.  This was cute for a few years, but now it's just getting ridiculous.  It's Florida.  There should be offense.

I wouldn't count on not seeing a defense like that again until FSU.  I'm not saying you will, but it's possible LSU could get there.  We looked pretty stout for 11 guys suspended and out for medical reasons.  By mid-season this could be a great unit.

it's Doug Nussmeier. He's got to go. McElwain either needs to start calling plays himself or go out and get the best offensive co-ordinator possible. Not one of his coaching buddies in Nuss. Harbaugh lost Durkin and he called around and went out and found the best DC he could- he had never met Don Brown before.

Scarlett and Callaway are NFL talents. I think both will get drafted somewhere. They definitely would've helped out- but you're right- the issue was the OL. They've got to fix that. I did not get Florida rolling with Zaire. I thought it was a mistake. Franks was playing well up until that fumble. He was a tough kid- taking big shots and still coming back for more. And his arm is big-time. That's an NFL arm.

Florida has enough talent to win the SEC East this year. They need to re-tool the coaching. Immediately. The offense won't take a step forward as long as Nussmeier is around coaching the QB's and calling the plays. I saw him ruin the considerable potential of Devin Gardner. Franks is still young enough to have a shot. Have to dump Nuss. Asap.

2 things I'm happy about:

1 - the suspended players weren't the reason Florida lost
2 - looks like Mac is doing what I'd do - playing the talented youngster and sticking with him, for the long-term good of the program (Franks).

Don't you worry about anything Afroman, TN suuuccckkksss. Florida will have zero problems beating TN. All you have to worrry about is Georgia. TN WILL NOT be a threat to anyone to include Vandy. We are the new SECE bottom feeders.
