Oklahoma, Georgia announce future home-and-home series

Is Auburn next?

Oklahoma has made a habit of scheduling its recent bowl opponents with recent scheduling announcements of home-and-home series with Alabama and Clemson. Now, the Sooners will play Georgia.

The Bulldogs, who last met the Sooners in the 2018 Rose Bowl, will travel to Norman in 2023 and Oklahoma will play at Georgia in 2031.

The 2023 game in Norman will mark the 100th anniversary of games played at the Owen Field site.

Georgia beat the Sooners 54-48 in double overtime in that Rose Bowl, which was part of the College Football Playoff.

That is the only meeting between the two marquee programs.

Oklahoma's last six bowl opponents have been Alabama (twice), Clemson (twice), Georgia and Auburn.

Notable future non-conference schedule:
2019: Houston, South Dakota, at UCLA
2020: Missouri State, Tennessee, at Army
2021: at Tulane, Western Carolina, Nebraska
2022: UTEP, at Nebraska
2023: Georgia
2024: Temple, at Tennessee, Tulane
2025: Michigan, at Temple
2026: at Michigan
2028: Temple
2029: Nebraska
2030: at Nebraska
2031: at Georgia
2032: Alabama
2033: at Alabama
2035: at Clemson
2036: Clemson

Interesting that he didn't consider LSU in 2027 and 2028 "Notable". List should have looked like this:

2019: @UCLA
2020: TENNESSEE
2021: NEBRASKA
2022: @ NEBRASKA
2023: GEORGIA
2024: @TENNESSEE
2025: MICHIGAN
2026: @ MICHIGAN
2027: L.S.U.
2028: @ L.S.U
2029: NEBRASKA
2030: @NEBRASKA
2031: @ GEORGIA
2032: ALABAMA
2033: @ALABAMA
2034: ???
2035: CLEMSON
2036: @ CLEMSON

I wonder if I somehow left that out.  I remember I had trouble copying and pasting that article.

Nope.  I copied it right.  Hmmm.  Maybe it's because no dates have been firmly set.  I just looked here--http://www.soonerstats.com/football/seasons/schedule.cfm?seasonid=2019--and all the games listed in Aber's article have dates assigned, while the two LSU games have "TBA."

I can say without any fear of contradiction that OU fans consider the 2027-28 series agreed to with LSU to be "notable."

"TBA."? Dates were finalized in 2014.

Sorry, ALA2262, but even your GIANT GREEN FONT comments don't change the fact that at the Oklahoma end of the conversation no dates are shown.  The LSU games don't even show up at all on the official OU Athletics Department website (SoonerSports.com).

That's all I can offer as an explanation.  Is there something more than that that you are wanting?

In order to get things right, perhaps you need to get rid of the President. :)
