Is Auburn next?
Oklahoma has made a habit of scheduling its recent bowl opponents with recent scheduling announcements of home-and-home series with Alabama and Clemson. Now, the Sooners will play Georgia.
The Bulldogs, who last met the Sooners in the 2018 Rose Bowl, will travel to Norman in 2023 and Oklahoma will play at Georgia in 2031.
The 2023 game in Norman will mark the 100th anniversary of games played at the Owen Field site.
Georgia beat the Sooners 54-48 in double overtime in that Rose Bowl, which was part of the College Football Playoff.
That is the only meeting between the two marquee programs.
Oklahoma's last six bowl opponents have been Alabama (twice), Clemson (twice), Georgia and Auburn.
