Hate Week! New Bedlam!!!
« on: November 25, 2024, 03:36:44 PM »
It's hate week, everybody!  This weekend the Oklahoma Sooners and the LSU Tigers will resume their long-standing rivalry, a deep tradition with an entire three games played!  Folks, don't let the zeros and zeros of regular season games fool you...these teams don't like each other and there's nobody they'd rather end their season with than each other.  Oklahoma State...psh.  They are nothing for the Sooners compared to their hatred of us.  LSU, for their part, are happy to add the Sooners to the list of Pigs and Aggies, both of whom LSU also hates the most and loved spending their Thanksgiving with.  You know the old saying around Baton Rouge.....if it ain't Hawgs, Sooners, or Aggies, it ain't a real rivalry game.  Both fanbases have literally waited all season to see this classic college football contest resume.  The eyes of the nation will be on these two behemoth programs to witness their epic clash that has long captured the college football fan's imagination on par with Alabama/Auburn, Michigan/Ohio State, etc.

....

....

....

....

....I hate this sport.

*Also, it's on at the same time as UT/A&M, so undoubtedly dozens and dozens of people will be watching.

Hooray long established rivalry games!  When these two teams meet, throw out the... corndogs.  And... meth.  I guess.

A true fact that I will consider not-at-all if one is hucked my direction.

Not really sure about the logistics of urinating in a bag. Seems like a multi-step process.

Sorry! Delayed reaction.

I'm furious at the prospect of this game. I hate LSU with every fiber of my being. The world will be a better place after the Sooners have stomped a mudhole into the Bayou Bengals' ass! RRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

That is all. Carry on.

It's gonna be really hard for LSU to score much on this OU squad.

I'm beginning to think Oklahoma-LSU is the biggest rivalry game in all of college football.

Should be a fun game for neutral observers to watch, despite the vast hatred on both sides.  I hate that it'll be on at the same time as the much less intense UT-TAMU game.

SEC Primer: Breaking down the Aggies and 'Horns reunion and the rest of the Rivalry Week slate
SEC Primer: Breaking down the Aggies and 'Horns reunion and the rest of the Rivalry Week slate

Nearly a third of QB Quinn Ewers‘ passes this season have landed behind the line of scrimmage, easily the highest rate in the SEC; on the other hand, he has the league’s lowest rate of passes of 20+ air yards, at just 11.6 percent. Altogether, Ewers’ average depth of target (7.0 yards) is 1 full yard below any other current SEC starter.

Excluding the loss to Georgia, they’ve trailed for a grand total of 8 minutes in their 10 wins, all in the 1st half. That’s an enormous benefit to both Ewers and Sarkisian, neither of whom has felt the need to depart from the script because the scoreboard is tilted against him.

Of course, the exception is a glaring one. The Longhorns’ 30-15 loss to Georgia in Week 8 was among the worst of Ewers’ career, yielding 5 sacks, 3 turnovers and his worst ratings of the past 2 seasons in terms of both efficiency (110.0) and QBR (21.8). Texas trailed 23-0 at the half and never seriously threatened to close the gap despite moving the ball at a much better clip after halftime. A&M boasts at least 3 next-level edge rushers in Nic ScourtonShemar Stewart and Cashius Howell, as well as a nose for the ball; see its last big primetime triumph at Kyle Field, a come-from-behind, 38-23 win over LSU in Week 9, when it pulled away on the strength of 3 2nd-half interceptions. Ewers’ efficiency plummets under pressure, where his lack of mobility is arguably his biggest liability. (Another reason the offense is designed to get the ball out of his hands as quickly as possible.) If he routinely finds himself in situations that call for him to stand and deliver from the pocket, the Aggies have him where they want him.

We didn’t do shit on the DL vs Auburn and USC. It doesn’t help that we haven’t had a holding call on the opposing OL since mid-Sept, which is unbelievable.
