Much better slate today. I have to go out to the middle of nowhere for my oldest daughter's Away soccer game this morning. Then I have to find a bar with the BTN to watch the Buckeyes. Blech.
-
Volleyball DH for the girls today. 2 hour gap between matches for lunch, then we have to go pick up the cuts and grind from the cattle we bought with a few other families. Always fun to drive around with 70+ lbs of beef in the trunk.

Is it hot there? Supposed to be 90 here today.
-
it's hot in c-bus.
-
Yes, so we are meeting up with the family at the butcher right out of town where we divvy up the cuts. They are all cryovacced, weighed, labeled and frozen.
-
Awwww, Sugar Snaps!
Microsoft and ESPN exclusive contract must have just ended. I've got game day on my PlayStation 4.
Not that the I like 90% of Game Day, but still my main media device is able to watch the one piece of media I've actually wanted for the last 4+ years.

Remind me, are you in Indiana?

a good drive
should have doubled that load ;)

I recall coming back from Lincoln with a cow in the Tahoe. That was interesting.
-
might have been two cows
I think I hauled more than 2 to Madison. And I think Mr. Willer hauled a couple three to Iowa City

Spoiler Up!

Steak tacos, rice and summer squashes on the docket for tonight.
Not sure how much ball I'm going to see during the day today. The vessel is gonna make its way up to Milwaukee in a little bit.
-

It might have been two. All I know is the Tahoe was maxed out.
Say hi to Mike for me. He's a good man.
-
I will say Hi to Mike
I'm going to the lake today myself, will miss some football
the Iowa great lake of West Okoboji - friend has a cabin there, helping him lift the boat and winterize the cabin
will watch the Huskers at Miles Inn there, then aged steaks, scotch and cigars on his deck on the lake
heading to a tailgate and the Viking's game in Minne tomorrow morning
-
Man, I was driving behind a semi once, and water was splashing up on my car from it's tires.
I was in the middle of the desert, and there wasn't any moisture on the road, so I decided to pass the truck.
Once I got to the side, I figured out what was happening.
It was chock full of cows, two levels worth, so they were all just peeing as the truck was driving through it.
-
hah, you learn about that before grade school in this part of the country
-
Remind me, are you in Indiana?
Yes. Indy burbs.
-
Currently watching the twins. Early afternoon I'll head to Sun Devil Stadium for some tailgating and then seeing my Devils take on the Ducks, and then off to Kansas City for 3 weeks tomorrow.
-
Texas A&m appears to be playing Ohio St. If you don't focus too closely
-
Unlv's not doing so hot.
-
Buckeye dline is swarming today
-
Texas A&m appears to be playing Ohio St. If you don't focus too closely
My thought too - Ohio St vs TX A&M in the Bowl of whatever neutral site (Dallas) where they are playing.
-
OSU gets a Safety.
-
I recall coming back from Lincoln with a cow in the Tahoe. That was interesting.
Fer shame no way to be talking about UNL Cheerleaders. You're a crass man 847 and I hope the wife didn't catch you
-
Urban with the guys call to go for it on 4th down up by 23 points.
James Franklin approves.
-
Uhhh...it's the 2nd quarter
-
5 touchdown passes for JT
-
Uhhh...it's the 2nd quarter
Like I said. Gutsy
-
5 touchdown passes for JT
Might break his own school record in the first half.
-
I think my 52-10 pick was too kind to UNLV
-
5 touchdown passes for JT
JT airing it out against UNLV is like that kid bragging about getting the easy A in Gym Class while the rest of his report card shows nothing but Ds & Fs.
-
Might break his own school record in the first half.
This scenario has played out ad nauseam.Pad the stats vs the cupcakes then fold when it counts.Urban knows it but will ignore the greater good for his 5th yr project
-
Already on the bench
-
Carmelo traded to OKC. Quite an off-season there
-
Goddamn Haskins has a rifle
-
Attaboy, Saunders.
Showin' how it's done at Dublin Coffman.
-
Texas A&m appears to be playing Ohio St. If you don't focus too closely
Came here to post that. The game is almost as ugly as the uniforms. :)
-
JT airing it out against UNLV is like that kid bragging about getting the easy A in Gym Class while the rest of his report card shows nothing but Ds & Fs.
Well, if this were one of the cupcakes everyone else played in weeks one and/ or 2 and/ or 3 he would be a Heisman candidate.
It helps to play your cupcakes early- just look at the rankings.
-
My thought too - Ohio St vs TX A&M in the Bowl of whatever neutral site (Dallas) where they are playing.
When did the fighting Beilma's start wearing Ohio State colors?
I always thought Belima had a secret hard on the Buckeyes while at Wisconsin; guess in his last year in the SEC he wanted to dress his team up as OSU...
-

Except you can't deny he made some beautiful throws today.
Most coaches let their new offense develop some confidence against the early season cupcakes...that's all Meyer is doing. The only difference is the Buckeyes did not have any cupcakes until now. If he was intereste in padding stats he wouldn't pull Barrett with 8 minutes left in the first half.
-

Hmm... Looks nothing like the Cowboy unis.
or
Who knew Dallas had OSU unis too.
-
hmmm maybe FSU was really overrated to begin the year? The defense is really talented and always was going to be good, but that OL was bad last year and it doesn't look any better this year. Dalvin Cook was special- he literally accounted for like 68% of all offensive production for FSU last year and made something out of nothing routinely and made that OL look a lot better than it was. No way they were going to just replace that- especially with a bad OL. Once they lost Francois it was all she wrote.
-
Cool. Big Ten record, 7 different receivers with a TD today for Ohio State.
-
hmmm maybe FSU was really overrated to begin the year?
Yes, overrated even before Francois went down. The hole the Seminoles are trying to right now climb from Vs NC State has less to do with missing the Francois and more to do with the defense not rising to the challenge; with the offense losing Cook and the OL not expected to be improved the loaded D was the reason for preseason #2. The true frosh QB Blackman is passing quite well - 17/25 192yds.
-

He pulled JTB because even UFM sees the limitations IMO
-
I can't believe that UMass and Tennessee are in a dog fight.
-

Now your contradicting yourself. Plus that makes no sense????
-
NCSU was my most under rated pick. They outplayed USCe and wrestled defeat from the jaws of victory. I thought they had a good shot in this one (which isn't over, but FSU looks out of kilter).
NCSU playing pretty well on D.
-
Speaking of uniforms, I turned on the Arkansas game and at first thought it was Ohio State on ESPN.
-
Arkansas goes up in the Hot Seat Bowl, but lets up a good kick return
-
Who's more likely to pull off the shocker between Rutgers and Purdue?
-
Sumlin showing why he is on the hot seat in not trying to score a touchdown despite getting a first and goal. Instead plays for overtime.
-
NC State ices FSU
-
Good job Maryland.
You just injured your 2nd QB.
-

that's really why I thought they were overrated- that OL was sooooo bad last year and it really doesn't look much better through 2 games this year. Add losing Dalvin Cook who was their entire offense- and I just did not see the #2 team.
-
I can't believe that UMass and Tennessee are in a dog fight.
I can. Butch Jones is their coach.
-
Aggies strike first in overtime. Burt up next.
-
Who's more likely to pull off the shocker between Rutgers and Purdue?
gotta be Purdue.
Although Rutgers does seem much improved and Nebraksa seems like a mess right now and Riley a lame duck with the AD getting fired.
-
A Rutgers player just caught the ball with his butt.
-
Burt outgags Sumlin
-
Sumlin wins the hot seat bowl with an interception. Bert to set pants on fire.
-
NC State ices FSU
NC State finally lassos a win vs a Helmet school that'd eluded them under Doeren. The Wolfpack outplayed the Noles in the trenches. Notably the FSU DL seemed to let up just about every time it looked like they'd gained the momentum from NC St, and the OL play was inexcusably bad, especially on the Right Side where #70 & #76 were blown by all day.
Though under Jimbo the Noles tend to play better as the season moves along, things won't get any easier with ranked Miami, Louisville, Clemson, and Florida still left.
-
Rutgers scores on their opening drive.
-
Champions of life beat UMass by 4...at home.
-
Um why is this baseball trash on my tv and not Michigan-Purdue?
If there's anything I HATE more than baseball, idk what it is. Wtf Fox.
-
How 'bout soccer MDoT?
-
How 'bout soccer MDoT?
Not a fan, but I did go to a ManU game in the UK and a Barcelona game in Spain. I can at least appreciate it and would go to a game again in a heart beat.
Baseball? F'n BORING as shit. Absolutely hate it. Anybody brings up baseball- I'm out. It is awful. It's not 1923 nor am I 98 years old. F baseball in the A with a D.
-
Now your contradicting yourself. Plus that makes no sense????
It makes all the sense in the world JT has been hanging on this programs coattails for the last 2 seasons.Check the NFL draft he's routinely propped up by surrounding talent.Did you seen the nice 20 yd throw burrow had late in the 4th?JT never-NEVER makes that throw
-

he's not an NFL QB but he's a good college QB. I'd take JT over Wilt the Stilt in a friggin heart beat and twice on Saturdays or Sunday's for that matter.
JT is a good ball player. He gets too much flack IMO. Try having Wilton fricken Speight as your QB.
-
I can. Butch Jones is their coach.
LMAO
-
Absolutely perfect deep ball on an 86 yard TD for Okie State. Up 7-6

Against over matched opponents.UNLV? Really check back after PSU/M and anybody else with a pulse

lol. MLB is national? M*ch is regional?

Some strange officiating today. OkSU calls time out but the play continue, late hit on the QB called, despite the time out, and the penalty is still enforced.
An A&M player didn't step out of bounds but it was called out of bounds costing them 7, they got 3.
-

I tend to agree.
Most of his criticism is that he can't make this NFL throw or that NFL throw.
That's not who he is. He's a good College QB.

The Okie State guy was flagged because he popped the QB a good five seconds after the whistle

Speight is friggin garbage. BENCH HIM.
-

I just don't get it. What does this staff see in him. He's awful. No feel for the position
-

Speight plays like a god damn moron. He's a dumb football player. With minimal talent and zero accuracy. He must have naked pics of Harbaugh or something.
-
Maryland in a hole
-
they need to give Peters and McCaffrey both a shot at this thing.
-
Maryland in a hole
Season is over.
Kasim Hill is injured, pretty bad.
Nothing behind him I guess.
Caleb Henderson, the 4-star transfer, isn't even on the 2-deep.
-
3rd and 3 and UM has no running backs on the field
-
Speight plays like a god damn moron. He's a dumb football player. With minimal talent and zero accuracy. He must have naked pics of Harbaugh or something.
Like I've said about JT he has the Party Pictures
-
Wtf was that play call on 3rd and 3 ?
-
they need to give Peters and McCaffrey both a shot at this thing.
They should have done that last week. The worst part is that teams are stacking the box and I hear some blaming the running game. There's no run game because these teams no that Speight is no threat.
-
Like I've said about JT he has the Party Pictures
Nah. JT is TEN TIMES the college player that Speight is. JT is actually good.
Speight just friggin SUCKS.
-

Agree 100%.
Run game has been pretty decent considering the box is stacked all game every game bc teams know Speight can't throw the ball.
-
Still adjusting to non-cable life. One issue - switching back forth from Sling to antenna is annoying
-
Lucky break for Michigan there
-
Lucky break for Michigan there
Not lucky at all...McCray was all over him and the knee was down. How is that luck?
-
Not lucky at all...McCray was all over him and the knee was down. How is that luck?
Because McCray overran the play and had the guy not got twisted by his own feet he would have had a first down
-
That series sums up Riley. Milquetoast. Statue NFL body qb. Near picks.
-
Ty Isaac is still hurting. Doesn't look explosive on any of his carries right now.
-
looks like Speight is out. I hope they just say F it and throw out Peters or McCaffrey. Not a believer in O'Korn.
-
Nah. JT is TEN TIMES the college player that Speight is. JT is actually good.
Speight just friggin SUCKS.
At least your boy is undefeated and apparently injured
-
Who's up next? The Freak on O'Leash?
-
Wow, that replay hurts to watch.
-
Here comes Korn
-
Look at how many are in the box every first down! Why would you run right into that? Spread them out, make Purdue respect the pass.
-
Already better decisions.
-

I like that observation.Helps when you have a OB who can put it in there 20+yds down field
-
Already better decisions.
Not even decisions- more accuracy. Speight has ZERO accuracy. Only thing he can throw well is the deep ball. And his arm is so weak it takes forever and a day to get there. Many times his WR's have had to stop and wait for the ball when they are wide open deep.
-
Chris Evans is a year away of physical development of being a special back. He's still too slight, goes down on first contact too easily. He needs more muscle on that lower body to drive through arm tackles and gain extra yards.
-
What's going on in Lincoln and College Park I can't see either of them with the limited cable here.
-
Nebraska's up four at the half.
Maryland is getting their butts kicked.
-
O'Korn looking better on one drive than Speight has all year.
-
Play calling sucks.
-
Korn!
-
Did O'Korn just win the job? There is no excuse for playing Speight at all. Ever. Even if O'Korn winds up stinking the joint up. Go to a Frosh.
-

It's better decisions too. Speight has no feel for the position, no sense of timing or rhythm. O'korn looks comfortable and Speight always looks like he's trying not to make a mistake. It's only 1 drive, but that was encouraging

Ok. I guess I'd agree with that. Speight is just a dumb football player. Can't have dumb football players. Especially at QB.
-
TCU up 20-10 in Stillwater
-
These screens are killing this defense. Damn.
-
Hell of a response by Purdue
-
Nice drive Boilers
-
Purdue smart by running a lot of misdirection and capitalizing on Michigan overpursuing. Smart play calling.
-
Donnie Brown needs to adjust things on the fly and scrap the aggressive D. Purdue O is way too screeny, misdirectiony, gimmicky. Just keep everything in front and rush 4 and play boring D. Please. Brohm is like an evil genius with his play calling.
-
Toledo up 16-10 on Mia,Fla
-
Purdue smart by running a lot of misdirection and capitalizing on Michigan overpursuing. Smart play calling.
Agreed. Brohm is using their aggression against them.
-
Maryland down 21-3
-
korn ~???
-
Tough to stop a Train with momentum.
-
That looked like interference and Oerry got hit before the ball got there.
-
Late hit
-
Late hit
Definitely
-
Cal and USC tied at 13 at the half
-
Damn. Picked A&M in the upset pool, which came through. But was torn by also wanting to pick Virginia and Toledo.
-
Rutgers takes the lead. TD
-
Geez Maryland. What the hell.
-
I can't help but wonder if Bielema's seat is getting warmer.
Not a good call, leaving Wisconsin so he could win a national championship in the SEC.
-
Geez Nebraska. What the hell.
-
Clemson up 7-0 on BC in the third
-
Sindelar suddenly missing everything
-
I can't help but wonder if Bielema's seat is getting warmer.
Not a good call, leaving Wisconsin so he could win a national championship in the SEC.
He wouldn't know if his seat is getting warm. His butt is too sore from getting his ass kicked to sit
-
TCU up 27-10,Cal/SC tied at 13
-
Ohio beats E Michigan in 2OT.
The Bobcats are lucky that Frank Solich introduced them to the option.
-
Good no call wr ran into db if anything
-
Gotta say - Purdue is playing with some juice
-
korn ~???
wasn't his fault. That was an on target throw that Perry should've had.
-
Clem BC tied up
-
Ohio beats E Michigan in 2OT.
The Bobcats are lucky that Frank Solich introduced them to the option.
Let' not F up another thread, K?
-
Gotta say - Purdue is playing with some juice
Michigan offensive play calling certainly helping that cause. Why they wait til they end of the half to spread Purdue out and throw on first down and take a shot down the field to DPJ is beyond me. They NEED to throw on 1st down and they NEED to get DPJ the ball. He is by far their most talented, explosive offensive weapon. O'Korn throws that ball deeper it's 6. DPJ had his guy beat.
-
Huskers take the lead.
The Canes are now one point ahead of The Rockets.
-
BC giving Clemson this much trouble a week after ND thumped them is not giving me confidence.
-
I'm going to crack up if they put an injured Speight back in after reading all this.
-
Nebraska gets a pick 6 called back, but have the ball with the lead.
-
Clemson just scored. TCU up 34-17
-
O'Korn has no pocket presence.
-
Grant Perry is garbage. He HAS to catch that.
-
I find that TCU is often overlooked early in the season.
-
Blough is back. Back again
-
Grant Perry is garbage. He HAS to catch that.
You, sir, are very harsh with your words for the kids on your favorite team.
-
Stick a fork in the Terps.
They're done.
-
Navy kicking the ever loving shit out of Cincy. Wow.
-
M should have been flagged for PI there
-
Stick a fork in the Terps.
They're done.
Yeah. Kinda called that after our QB got knocked out of the first quarter.
-
Now that was a fumble
-
this is a joke. Harbaugh needs to make major changes on his offensive staff. Drevno is horrible.
-
Okorn's promise sometimes pops thru.Hurricanes,Trojans,Clemson pulling away
-
Man, the Redhawks are really taking it to CMU.
-
Nebraska up ten.
-
Hate that targeting call. No way that purdue guy was targeting the Michigan guys head.
-
Hate that targeting call. No way that purdue guy was targeting the Michigan guys head.
I hate targeting rule as well. But that's text book by the rule. They need to just throw that rule out IMO.
-

No it isn't. The player has to target the head to t trigger the rule. No target no targeting
-
Nice drive by M there
-
USC suddenly winning in a walk
-
No it isn't. The player has to target the head to t trigger the rule. No target no targeting
Uh, yes it is. Pereira even said so. It's a bad rule. Needs to go away.
-
Uh, yes it is. Pereira even said so. It's a bad rule. Needs to go away.
I didn't here him say that he said the receiver was defenseless and should be called there
-
That's a great throw there
-
Good call targeting
-
And Purdon't
-
That's a great throw there
Speight doesn't make that throw. The anticipation, accuracy, and ball placement- Speight doesn't have any of that. Threw it early, on target and placed it where Gentry could have a chance to grab and only Gentry. That was the best throw I've seen from a Michigan QB in 2 years.
-
Speight Barrett doesn't make that throw either. The anticipation, accuracy, and ball placement- Speight Barrett doesn't have any of that. Threw it early, on target and placed it where Gentry could have a chance to grab and only Gentry. That was the best throw I've seen from a Michigan QB in 2 years.
-
Pass run run or run run pass. Hit them hard, get up and hit them harder. Pray that after 3 quarters your curb stompers have more gas left than their curb stompers. I swear I saw Bo's ghost on the side line. Just remember he never won a NC. *heavy sigh*
-
Good effort by purdue, but pretty clear they didn't think they could run the ball on Michigan. I think they will look pretty good against the rest of the B1G
-
Good effort by purdue, but pretty clear they didn't think they could run the ball on Michigan. I think they will look pretty good against the rest of the B1G
That coaching staff for Purdue is lights out. I think Purdue is going to be a pain in the arse for the rest of the B1G for years to come as long as they hang onto Brohm.
-
All defense early
-
I like Barkley but man, the announcers could talk about the other guys on the field too
-
I find that TCU is often overlooked early in the season.
They looked pretty pedestrian vs ohi... erm arky last week.
-
Good game for 3 quarters. Purdue just isn't there yet. The offense needs some fine tuning, and more of Brohms recruits to get going. The Michigan front 7 was too much. I'm a bit surprised Purdue didn't try to establish a run, but I doubt it would change the outcome.
Both those targeting calls were complete bullshit. They wouldn't change the outcome of the game, but the score wouldn't have been as bad. On the first, Thieneman clearly lead with his shoulder, and the Michigan WR ducked into the hit. There is absolutely nothing he could do. It was not intentional, and not targeting. The second was even worse. Bentley clearly pulled up and tried to disengage. The contact was made with his forearms. What a load of shit. We now lose 2 starters. UM doesn't get a walk in score up the middle with Bentley in. The rule needs to go. Referees should not have that much influence on a game.
-
I don't mind the penalty but short of fighting or intentionally injuring others (poking eyes, twisting legs, etc) a player should never be kicked out of a game.
-
MSU running RPO? Interesting
-
Irish with a pick six
-
MSU with a Hell of a qb sneak
-
Lewerke has serious wheels for a QB.
-
This is where Iowa's offensive line has to pick up steam, at Iowa's own 1-yard line, or it will be a long day.
-
This is where Iowa's offensive line has to pick up steam, at Iowa's own 1-yard line, or it will be a long day.
Told ya.
-
Kentucky is beating Florida.
-
I like Barkley but man, the announcers could talk about the other guys on the field too
If I didn't know better after hearing so much fawning over Darnold and Rosen it almost feels like the CFB networks just don't want Jackson to win another heisman.
-
That is an extraordinary turn of events.
-
Lewerke is beyond careless
-
That's why playing at Iowa at night is a bitch. Penn State completely dominated first half. Down 2 at half.
-
Lewerke is beyond careless
He seems very boom or bust. Can make great plays for MSU. But also great plays for the other team.
-
Love Jewell's home run swing in front of McSorley
-
McSorley has not really been any good this year.
Syracuse is down 21-3 but I feel like they should winning that game.
-
Go Baylor!
-
Go Baylor!
Go take a shower
-
Notre Dame looks way more athletic to me than MSU. Which is kind of surprising to me.
-
Go take a shower
Go Penn St!
-
Let's not go there
-
Idaho-S. Bama started at 2pm. its still on (2 delays)
-
Go take a shower
Penn State.
-
Lewerke is playing like absolute crap tonight.
-
Man unlucky for MSU
-
This is a complete disaster.
Pick six. Careless fumble at our own 15. Fumble inside the 1 yard line going in.
21 points right there, easy.
Scott's second fumble inside the 1 this year.
-
Man unlucky for MSU
Nothing unlucky about it.
-
UGA seems to be playing well tonight. Next week on the road against a team that just dominated almost UMass.
-
Wash-Buffs also delayed, starting at 11:15 pm.
-
3 turnovers and three 15 yard penalties. This team is such a joy to watch.
-
Solid running by ND on that drive
-
This is a complete disaster.
Pick six. Careless fumble at our own 15. Fumble inside the 1 yard line going in.
21 points right there, easy.
Scott's second fumble inside the 1 this year.
All those things happened to OSU today, and they still won decicively.
**(Just a little leg pullin')**

Nothing unlucky about it.
MSU is better than last year, but probably needs another year to get back to elite. They are probably better than we thought, coming into the season.
-
Damn Hawks turnover then Barkley bolts
-
These are two even teams. I might even think MSU is better.
-
Kentucky is now beating Florida by ten, heading into the 4th quarter.

I wouldn't go that far. I'd say ND isn't as much better as the score would indicate, but I wouldn't say we are equal, let alone better. The turnovers and penalties aren't fluky, they are a pattern, and it's part of this teams makeup. The fact that we've given up 4 non offensive TDs in 2.5 games is no longer fluky.

Saw something about that being one of the longest series win streaks in the county I think?
-

30 games.
Kentucky last won in 1986.
-
Big 3rd down stop negated by a player lined up offsides. Comedy or errors continues.
-
Just get rid of review.
They are now reviewing a review.
I'd rather just have some wrong calls than this crap
-
Iowa just beefed a two point conversion that would've tied it up.
-
An ND offense where Wimbush makes some throws is rough to stop
-
Barkley just went air born
-
Defense went from meh to blah without Bachie in there
-

Yeah I had been told he had no accuracy. He is dropping passes exactly where he wants them. I was worried about Irish WRs running free. They really aren't. But Wimbush hasn't missed a guy yet.
-

Um what? I don't see that. I see two bad defenses and one team with athletes galore on offense (ND) and the other without them. Lewerke is definitely talented but he's as deadly to his own team as he is the other, and LJ Scott is a supremely talented RB with a history of coughing up the ball.
I do think ND is a little better, not 30 points better though.
-
Barkley just went air born
he is unreal.
-
Defense went from meh to blah without Bachie in there
And right back out. Awesome.
-
336 yards for Barkley and they only have 13 pts of offense. 'Member 2 pts of there's was a safety. Crazy stat.
-
Omfg. Blocked. This game is so Iowa.
-
Holy shit
-
WOW
-
TD Iowa.
-
this game has been hard. I want to be in awe of barkey, but i'm too busy using every cuss word in the book.
-
oh shit.
-
Why would you throw it into the stands on a 2 point conversion?
-
Barkley has been great!
This quick TD, did not give the defense a lot of time for a breather.
-
Why would you throw it into the stands on a 2 point conversion?
Trying to avoid the 2-pointer the other way . . . but a bit too conservative.
-
Kentucky blew it.
-
No, they blue it. As in Kentucky Blue. They earned this loss.
Florida SUCKS. UK left a WR uncovered twice, giving up 2 TDs in the process. They can't beat Florida because they don't know how. 31 straight.
-
i'm gonna puke
-
Here it is
-
OMG!!!!!!!
-
1 damn time. come on.
-
that was one hell of a game ... wow
-
Florida winning for most charmed 2017?
-
Wow. Nice job Nitters
-
wut
-
Wow! McSorley has brass balls. That was clutch.
-
Florida winning for most charmed 2017?
No. Maybe worst team with a winning record (for now).
-
No. Maybe worst team with a winning record (for now).
Who in the East is gonna challenge UF? Uga?
-
UGA by a mile.....but they have a brain fart blind spot when it comes to beating Florida, too. So who the hell knows? Maybe the East just won't send a representative to Atlanta this year. Playing a motivated Bama isn't much of a reward.
-
btw, I'm kinda torn about the result
The Hawkeyes are NU's biggest rival but Penn State winning helps us out in terms of the West divisional race
That said, James Franklin has definitely become a LOT more cocky of late so hopefully he is fed some humble pie ASAP
- not sure if Indiana can serve said pie next Saturday so the 'Cats might have to in 2 weeks
-
Indiana can serve said pie.
Not sure that they will... but they can.
-
tons if respect to barkley. McSorely continues to be megadouche.
-
What a game and what an ending in Iowa. Feel sick for the Hawkeyes but that throw by McSorely was perfect and took BALLS to make. That was through shitloads of traffic.
-
Another nice band of tense games coming together at once tonight. UK collapse was quite sorry to watch. That holding call was so UK. SDSU held off lightning, the lightning bolt helmet, cold hard rain and beat AFA in the end. Maybe 1,000 people made it to the end.
-
No. Maybe worst team with a winning record (for now).
I don't think any other team has scored multiple winning TDs due to the type of coverage gaffs that Tennessee and Kentucky made.

Indeed. The noon games were awful. The theme of the 3:30 games were possible upsets that turned lopsided in favor of the favorite in a hurry (UM, Clemson, Miami). But there was a nice chunk of games all wrapping up around the same time there around 11:15 that were nice, and MSU did their part by making me available to be flipping around.
-
I nodded off in the 2nd half of those late games.Would have liked to see Ducks/Sun Devils and the ASU win 27-24.Missed the ending of IA/PSU.Caught it on College Football Final - one of the few things ESPN does right. That was a cold dagger in the heart.Don't think McSorley is lucky anymore.Any one see that Rutgers WR catch?

Thinking it's about time to give Bert a vote of confidence in Fayettville
-
I find that TCU is often overlooked early in the season.
I think that was hesitancy after folks really liked em last year.
-
Thinking it's about time to give Bert a vote of confidence in Fayettville
I'll always think he's a pretty decent coach.
But pretty decent isn't building complete teams right now, and in that division, you need a complete team and some close games to turn your way. He's lacked the second one too.
-
Navy kicking the ever loving shit out of Cincy. Wow.
This was a surprise?
-
This was a surprise?
I thought it was a lot closer than expected
-
This was a surprise?
I thought Cincy had a punchers chance after playing almost decent in Ann Arbor.
-
A ten point loss constitutes an azz beating?
Interesting.
-
It wasn't 10 points when I looked.
-
Sooo...
Did Maryland ensure the Scott Frost to Nebraska thing, or what?
-
starting to think that at least 1, 2 loss team makes the playoffs. maybe more.
-
Sooo...
Did Maryland ensure the Scott Frost to Nebraska thing, or what?
Hmmmm, closer, but not ensure.
So the Knights lose two games because of weather. Which might not mean anything, but you lose a probable FCS win and probable loss to Ga. Tech. But in either case, it'll be harder to post a win total that'll grab eyes. That's fine if he can keep the losses down, but that'll be tricky.
They get Memphis this week, and the Tigers look like they can put up points. Cincinnati is probably a win, but maybe not. At Navy is a pain. At SMU could be tricky. Temple should be a win, USF appears to have a defense that will cut out your liver to sell it. Finish 6-2 or better for 8-2 or better total and it's an easier sell in Lincoln. Go 7-3 and it's kinda hit or miss. But take losses to Navy/UCF/Memphis plus trip up at Cincinnati or SMU and its real dicy.
It's dumb football can come down to such things. #AACBoard

Interesting.
18 points with 10 minutes left. Bearcats followed with a 4-minute drive for an 8-point TD, then kicked off deep down 10 with 6 minutes left, so that staff felt it was over, or was too conservative for its own good.
Navy also averaged 8.3 yards a play, so at least they were beating on Cincy's defense (the Bearcats did pretty solid on offense, which seems like a good sign).
-
So apparently we get Irma related Sunday college football.
ECU up 41-38 on UConn late in Storrs on ESPNU, between probably the two worst AAC teams.
-
This UConn final drive is all kinds of stupid.
-
A missed chip shot FG to lose is exactly how that game should have ended.
