The Sooners survived a 1-0 loss to Bama yesterday, but came back last night to win the "as necessary" game 7-3 as the bats finally got warmed up with 3 home runs in the 6th inning.

Now it's OU vs. UCLA in the best-two-of-three series over the next three evenings.

OU beat UCLA in the 1-game final to win its first softball NC back in 2000.

If the Sooners can win 2 more games, they will have won 3 of the last 4 and 4 of the last 6 WCWS.

The journey came to an end last night.  UCLA beat OU 5-4 with a walkoff single in the bottom of the 7th.  That was one night after they won in a 16-3 blowout.

UCLA was the better team.  Better hitting, better pitching, better defense, and maybe better coaching.  The UCLA hitters came into the series with an effective plan of attack against G Juarez, while OU's hitters were baffled in the first game by Rachel Garcia and still couldn't come up with timely hits last night.

Congrats to UCLA.
