Eh, two fumbled punts go away and it's a 3 TD blowout.  I'm comfortable with where Texas is, relative to the rest of the conference.  OU's gonna score points on this secondary for sure.  They're also not going to stop the Texas offense much.

Anyway, I just saw this and didn't enter.  Feel free to count it or not.

My point is that oSu can make a similar claim about its own mistakes.  It's always easy to see one's own team's errors as self-inflicted and the other team's errors as the result of one's own team's devastating play.

I think the self-inflicted errors more or less evened out.  Texas was the better team last night, by about the same margin that LSU was the better team back in Week 2.

As for this contest thing, two entries doesn't really constitute one.  Not even a half-assed one.  Maybe not even a quarter-assed one.  Let it just slide to next week as far as I'm concerned.

Gigem restarted this thing.  He's welcome to decide.

I would argue that fumbling a punt is on a higher level of ineptitude then throwing an interception

Ive been watching UT games for over 50 years and I dont remember a Horn team fumbling 2 punts in the same game

we better figure that out

hell if you cant catch the punt then just let it go instead of running up real quick and trying to field it
They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.

320, we've sort of got the same discussion going on two different threads.  I just responded on the "Texas-OSU" game thread to more or less the same point you just made here.

Well, then, the score should be like this:
CWSooner: 1
Fearless: 2
Everybody Else: 3
Who's keeping track of the totals?

Diving through traffic and sliding to catch a punt that isn't a live ball is the highest form of stupidity.  Peewee leaguers know not to do that.

The good news is that this can be corrected

I doubt this will happen again under similar circumstances

for example when youre ahead by 13 points with 3 minutes to go in the game

dont do anything stupid like trying to make an all star catch.

Instead let the ball go take over and run out the clock

anyway we were lucky and what doesnt kill you makes you stronger

One of the interceptions was tipped.  Credit: Defense  Yet again.

Actually, what "we don't do here" is very often have two threads going at the same time.

Sad to say.

Well, one thing we DO do here, is discuss completely off-topic things on threads, like we're doing now.  And I'm proud of us for doing so! :)

(also, I said "do do" )

I'll tally the weeks and season results soon but we need a Q for this week's games.

In honor of former SWC and Big XII members A&M and Arkansas:  How many rushing yards will A&M have against Arkansas?

Good one, Gigem.  I'll have to do some half-assed research and get back to you.
