The answer was ISU and 73.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/game?gameId=401112086

Looking at the box score, this looks like a crazy game.  Buncha field goals for Iowa, and a couple long TDs for ISU.  I was camping all weekend and didn't catch any college football, I'm sort of sorry I missed this one.

Anyway, the results are:

C-Dubb guessed ISU and 50 so was off by 23
Gigem guessed ISU and 34 so was off by 39
Mr N guessed IU and 43 so was off by 30 but with the wrong team
utee94 guessed IU and 33 so was off by 40 but with the wrong team

That's all the guesses I saw, FF decided to goof off and comment but never entered an answer.

Probably the best way to tabulate season results is to assign 1 point per "place" you finish each week, and the low score wins, right?

Congratulations, CWS Sooner.  You are this week's half-assed resident genius.

Here's how everybody did -

Congrats to ALA2262 for guessing 262 yards.  You only missed it by 209 yards!  I was very suprised LSU could move the ball on Texas like they did.  Congrats LSU!

Anyone that competes but misses a week will just be assigned the lowest score beyond people that actually competed for the week they missed.  So lh320 didn't play in week 3, 4 people did, so he gets assigned a "5" for the week, as does ALA2262 .

CDubb - 5
Gigem - 10
Mr. N - 10
ALA2262 - 11
utee94 - 12
lh320 - 13

I have to say it's pretty embarrassing to be ranked behind a guy that's only played in one week out of 3.  It's possible I'm only quarter-assing instead of half-assing.

Feel free to roll out a question!  Of course it's probably too late for this week.

Here we go.

How many yards rushing will the Canadian Cowboy Chuba Hubbard gain against Texas tomorrow?

I'll say an even 100.

It's probably too late for this, but it's here if enough posters can sign in and offer their half-assed guesses.

Your guess is looking better than mine, Fearless.

Horns are selling out to stop Hubbard.

Maybe I spoke too soon.  Hubbard has 52 yards at halftime.

Hubbard had 121 yards on 37 carries.

Do we count it, or just consider it a wasted half-assed Saturday?

somebody actually carried the ball 37 times against us and only got 121 yards

I'll take that any day of the week

as far as selling out to stop Hubbard well if we did the boys didnt take advantage of it

take away our two punt fumbles and we win by 20
They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.

OSU could say much the same.  Take away Sanders' two interceptions, or take away miscues and bad decisions in the red zone, and the Pokes win.  It was a close game that could have gone either way.
Pokes--including their coaches--lost their poise a bit.  Horns didn't.  That, to me, was the difference.

The question I have is whether or not to count yesterday's results in this half-assed contest.
