Suzie Merchant has been recruiting really well for a non traditional WBB school, but the recent seasons haven't really born that out.
The Big Ten has had some good WBB programs. Lately Maryland in particular has been the best Big Ten program. Iowa supplanted Maryland last year and made the Elite 8.

Iowa played well enough to win last night but Minnesota was pesky; it wasn't Kathleen Doyle's best game, yet she scored 16. She had little success shooting from the field, and more success driving, drawing fouls and going to the FT line.  I project Iowa makes the Sweet 16 this season. Maryland has been heating things up down the stretch, and could be Elite 8. Northwestern is right up there too, but probably just Sweet 16.

Minnesota's arguably best player Destiny Pitts quit after being suspended earlier in the season for "poor attitude" and is transferring. It should be interesting to see where.

MSU is down some.

The Wildcats are probably going to split the title with the Terps.

Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska men's gymnastics team provided Penn State with their first loss of the season after coming back from a seven-point deficit. The Huskers came from behind to take the lead heading into the final rotation and then finished with a season-high performance on high bar.

Nebraska defeated Penn State 406.950 to 403.200 to move to 7-2 (2-1 Big Ten) on the season. Penn State is now 10-1 (1-1 Big Ten).

This could be an interesting college baseball season.

Iowa is only 5-4, but has wins over #18 Arizona, #20 North Carolina, and #14 Duke. Also a loss to #8 NC State.

3-1 against the Top 20 is not to shabby for any team, let alone a Big Ten team.

Nebraska defeated #13 Arizona State, today.

Nebraska now 2-7 on the year though.  A few gagged defeats: one to Baylor and a blown 7-0 lead vs SD and a meltdown vs SDSU.    ASU beat them like a drum the first two games.

Iowa wins the Big Ten wresting tournament with 157.5 points followed by Nebraska, Ohio St, and Penn St.

Nine Iowa wrestlers qualified for the NCAA tournament, and one who could still get an at-large qualification. Hawkeyes have not won the Big Ten Torunament since 2015. Been a long time.
