Indiana wins the Big Ten RS Title outright.

The MAC announced the launch of their wlax Conference in 2020. It will have Akron and Kent, CMU and EMU at it's core, with Detroit Mercy and Youngstown St as affiliates.

So College wlax in the Midwest is getting pretty strong, with those six plus Northwestern, Ohio St and Michigan in the Big Ten, Notre Dame and Louisville in the ACC, Marquette and Butler in the Big East, along with Cincinnati in the AAC.

Ohio U may have thrown in the towel a little early. Perhaps the MAC launch will inspire them to get back after it. Or not.

Indiana beat Michigan on PKs in the CCG.

All of the remaining Big Ten women's soccer teams exited the tournament yesterday in the round of 16.

2-seed UCLA beat 3-seed Wisconsin, 2-0 in Westwood.
1-seed Stanford beat 4-seed Penn State, 2-0 in Palo Alto.
1-seed North Carolina beat unseeded Michigan, 4-0 in Chapel Hill.

Hard to play at the opponent's home.

Half of the remaining 8 teams play in the Pac-12: Stanford, UCLA, USC, and Washington State. 2 ACC: Florida State and North Carolina, then BYU and South Carolina. Quarterfinals are home games for the high seeds; semi-finals and finals are in San Jose, just down the road for Stanford.

Fall Semester is in the books.

Michigan came roaring out of the gates, taking the first five; soccer, w soccer, volleyball(x2), and Field Hockey.

OSU won the Rugby game handily, but it didn't count, since it is a club sport.

But then OSU hit 'em wear it hurt, taking a pair of Ice Hockey games, as well as THE GAME on the gridiron.

5-3 Maize.

Spring Semester is just loaded with events, and of course some post season bouts are always possible with conference tourneys in just about every sport. So still a long way to go.
