So-so defense that lacked high-level talent up front and in the back end. 

Also, OSU’ defense bowed up something fierce and put them in position to make a couple plays late. It’s wild to think that OSU game maybe stood between reality and two-time national champ Les Miles.

UW was a JJ Watt away that season. Man, if only he had stayed. Can't blame him though.

I remember I stood next to him at one point a few seasons before. And he was a good player, but not one that we knew would be great.

All I could think was, this is what a big NFL defensive end looks like, huh?
