A. If Frost was gonna survive, that was one you needed. That might be overstating it, but it's probably not.

B. Michigan announces different QBs to start Games 1 and 2. This feels kinda insane, but also maybe fine.

Blast from the past Rich Rodriguez has Jacksonville State up 42-17 over 10th ranked (FCS) SFA, closing in on the end of the 3rd Quarter
I kinda love that spot for him.

Rich Rod was the kind of guy who could do well at places where you need to overachieve a bit. Giving him an FCS power could be very fun.

I like it. He has 2 good QBs, and 3 glorified scrimmages to start the season.   Why not?

And, is this the season you finally come out- and admit you are a big UM fan?

Fighting Berts looking decent at the present. I have no idea if Wyoming is any good.
They are not.

They aren't great, but they're not like New Mexico State-bad or anything.

Definitely the top team in their state.

UNC must be rusty to only be up 21-14 on FAMU.  The Rattlers are down 20-25 players, due to ineligibility issues.  Apparently, it's not just a bad grades thing, it's also the school screwing up on student enrollment/schedules and/or transfer issues, plus a few injuries.

Anyhow, UNC should be up 42-0 at half, but it's a 1-score game.

Yes- I have that game on.   FAMU moving the ball nicely.

That freshman QB for NC ( Maye) looks like he might be pretty good down the road.

Since Michigan has two QBs, they have no QB.

I think they're perfectly fine mid-major, which means not enough strength/talent to counter a non-basement P5 (Bert's Illinois is non-basement, though I'm not sure if it's above that).

It's different. Maybe totally a game-changer. The cynic in me makes me think it's a sort of soft soft change without just benching the vet off the bat.

And ... what? What have I done to make you think this? Because I'm neither a big UM fan, nor a little one. Like, honestly, they're not even in the top half of Big Ten teams that I'd be prone to taking a liking to. (honestly, when someone says "you like Michigan," my first thought is about having some goof Zingerman's and even then, had I not been able to expense it, I might not have as warm of feelings to the meal)

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.   😂

Illinois won 38-6.

Who is available for UNL to hire, and why would that person be interested in the job?

Very little in-state talent, and huge expectations from the fan base.

Tough gig - for anyone.
