Illinois won 38-6.

Who is available for UNL to hire, and why would that person be interested in the job?

Very little in-state talent, and huge expectations from the fan base.

Tough gig - for anyone.
They should think about options. Maybe three of them at a time?

One of us is drunk.

I have no clue what you are trying to get at.

I'm not drunk.

I’m saying they should run the option. It would be interesting if I was drunk. But no. Maybe sleepy.

I'm not sure what options are out there, but they are doing some digging and will find out

maybe steal Bert from Illinois?  He knows about the O-line and D-line

I think Bert's happy where he is. He's building a program there.

They don't have the ponies to run the option. Can't afford to get Thompson killed either.

I still think yer drunk. :)

I think they wait until after Oct.1 to make a move, and by then maybe they look better, and NW looks better.

Of course, as implied above, NW can beat Ohio State in then lose to N. Ill.

I think yer right, but ya never know what is running around in his head

Scott Frost under fire following Nebraska 31-28 loss to Northwestern in Dublin, onside kick decision ripped (247sports.com)

Up 28-17 in the third quarter fresh off a touchdown, Nebraska was cruising along at that point. But then Scott Frost decided to have the Huskers go for an onside kick. With that questionable decision, Northwestern recovered, received a short field and promptly went down the field and scored, making it 28-24 and ultimately forced the Huskers to punt on the ensuing drive.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.  😂
Debateable.

It's honestly more that I'm a person who sprouts affinity for all sorts of random teams/players/schemes/coaches, and really very few have been from Michigan. I absolutely hated them in college (and had a soft spot for OSU), but that mellowed as they got less good and it grew clear that if OSU was humming, they'd be fighting hard for 10-2.

I'm sure I've liked some defenders or schemes, or said something nice about them from time to time, but honestly they don't have that much spark for me. I've also seen at least 3.5 rise-and-fall narratives with them, which is always odd to watch.
