I think this is it:

https://bball.notnothing.net/sec.php?sport=fb
According to that site the chaos scenario of Bama and Texas both finishing 7-1/10-2 and Ole Miss and aTm both finishing 7-1/11-1 results in a Bama/Ole Miss SECCG based on conference opponent winning percentage and record vs common opponents.

Sure makes about as much sense as anything else, I guess.

I generally don't care about overall record.  But I'd go to overall SOR.  3 of those teams at least TRIED to schedule one good OOC game.  Texas played OSU.  Alabama played FSU.  Texas A&M played Notre Dame.  Ole Miss played nobody, so they'd be out.  It's entertainment, and you actively chose not to entertain us.  Texas A&M won their game, so then figure it out between Alabama and Texas

I'm still mostly excited for the least relevant #1 vs #2 game of all time in the BTCCG!

Except in this specific scenario Texas A&M would have lost head-to-head against Texas.  Any time head-to-head can be used to break a tie, it should be.

Also, although I like the general idea of rewarding tough scheduling, I don't believe out-of-conference outcomes should be used to resolve in-conference issues.

I think he meant for CFP berth, not an in-conference issue.

It is funny.  I've seen my team play a number of #1 vs #2 games and by nearly all measures, if they manage to play one against Indiana it will be, as you say, "the least relevant . . . of all time" because they'll both be locks for first round byes so the only thing at stake will be the #1 vs the #3 seed and which one you want depends on who ends up at #4, #5, #6, and #11 so you might not actually want to be #1.

That said, Ohio State hasn't won a B1G Championship since Connor Stallions showed up in Ann Arbor and the Wolverines started stealing them so getting one of those would be awfully nice.  The Buckeyes won four straight prior to the cheating starting up north and have now gone four years without.

Additionally, if Ohio State played Indiana in the B1GCG as things stand today, it would probably determine not only the B1G Championship and #1 overall seed in the CFP but it would probably also decide the Heisman between Julian Sayin and Fernando Mendoza so there are a few things of interest.

If they are #1 and #2, unless its a blowout, I don't know how you even drop one to #3.

They did a great job of making things worse trying to fix a problem

Don't get me started there.  Jeremiah Smith is the most dominant college player since Suh.  I get the anti-defense slant.  But if Smith doesn't win it, while his QB does, just end the award.

One of the guys on the ESPN CFB podcast was joking about the fact that Rece Davis asked whether that was Mendoza's "Heisman moment".  He said, so if Indiana's #2 WR makes one of the best catches ever, on an overthrown ball, it wins the Heisman for the QB that overthrew the ball, can we just stop caring about this award?
