Penn State (0-6, 3-6) at Michigan State (0-6, 3-6) Game Week

The Land Grant Trophy has never been more appropriate for this.  Penn State has so much more talent.  It kind of felt like last week was their last gasp.  Do they even slightly care this week?  Did MSU already give up.

One of these teams hits a 7 game losing streak, the other keeps pointless bowl hopes alive.  If PSU had pulled it out last week, I'd pick Penn State to kill them.  No I question how much they care.  Some guys at 80% might not be playing.  Still think PSU wins, but by less than I would have

Penn State is a good team that hasn't played especially well in critical moments. Michigan State isn't a good team. Maybe it stays close, but I suspect MSU will struggle to score. I'd guess 24-6 PSU. Something in that range.

I agree with the general point, but MSU's problem has not been scoring.  It's been stopping anyone.  Even just counting conference games, they are #12 in total offense, but they are allowing the most ppg.

24-6 is not very in line with anything MSU has done this year.  They might lost by 18, but if so 42-24 is more likely

I am not sure how much Mich St and Penn St still care about bowl elligibility,  but both teams need to win their last 3 games to be bowl elligible.

This might still be realistic for Penn St.  Their last 3 games are @MSU, Neb, and @Rutgers.  All are winnable games.   The other question is, if they make it,  will they accept the bowl bid?  They are probably overdue for a Pinstripe bowl invite

For MSU, its not impossible but not likely they can win out.  The play PSU, @Iowa and MD.   If they pull it off, their reward might be the Detroit bowl.

I just realized this the 2:30 CST game on CBS and the Iowa-USC game at the same time is on BTN.

Is it possible that BTN had the first choice this time over CBS?  Otherwise why would CBS pick the game with the 2 different 0-6 teams over the game with the 2 teams ranked in the top 25?
