The only team I root to go 0-12 is Eastern Michigan of course.
We always get on frontrunners who adopt a great team as their favorite.  I like backrunning and deciding the worst team is now my most hated

I have come to view ALL without exception talk shows, commentary shows, draft prediction shows, any show where purported "experts" profess to let me know what's really about to happen as entertainment, not "analysis" worth taking seriously.  To me, they are akin to some "expert" on a business news channel telling me which stocks I should buy.  The scant handful I may pay a bit a attention to are usually obscure and it's more like reading "The Art of War".

These folks are entertainers, not real analysts, the "analysis" is no better and often worse than one can find casually here or on the Interwebz.  Rarely is anyone held to account, and I view the preseason mags the same way.  I recall when "CFN News" or whatever it was would post predictions and they'd always have 3-4-5 loopy ones, to garner attention and clicks.

I enjoy rooting for an 0-12 Notre Dame each and every year, so I'm not torn at all.  I get why Florida fans pull against FSU, but most of the rest of the country dislikes ND a lot more than FSU.  Personally I have no feelings whatsoever about FSU, wouldn't bother actively rooting against them unless they were playing my own team.

Oh, if it was a 2-0 ND when they face Purdue I was hoping they would finish at 2-10 :57:

Amazingly E Michigan has only gone winless twice. Although they have a LOT of 1 and 2 win seasons. Very few 5+ win seasons.

same as the "experts" that comment on climate change, COVID-19, political issues, or any topic

if a source is referred to as "expert" there is no credibility

It's amazing Crighton has flown so under the radar there.  Actually building a steady program at Eastern Michigan is far more impressive than having the stars align for one great year at Buffalo or Kent State or Ball State.  All things that got guys Power 5 jobs.

This is mostly true.

there are some people with interesting perspectives, but you gotta find your flavor and stick with them. (And most are on tv by accident)

Out of curiosity, if you don't trust experts, who then do you trust?

(Personally, I hope it's me.)

A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me." Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I'd still have to bum rides off people.
