I don't mind the helmet switch, but the orange numbers with no outline looks broke as hell.  And no matter how you dress them up, Bert looks to be on deaths doorstep

Particularly against Indiana's best look they've ever cobbled together.  Their best retro jersey combined with the best current helmet.  Chef's kiss.
The only thing that makes it better is when the block I is there instead of the trident. But that obviously couldn’t be used tonight against Illinois.

We're at friends' house in Wadsworth IL. Just got done making 2 gallons of homemade marinara using her fresh tomatoes, onions, garlic and flat parsley, all from her garden. It's fantastic.

Also made her a batch of my tomato salad. Man, I wish I had this bounty at my house.

Gonna meet my brother for lunch later, and then head to the hotel to get ready for the ****ing wedding that starts at exactly the same time as UW starts.

Just peachy.

If the Wolverines somehow manage to get Rammed, it might result in a rather epic meltdown on the Michigan boards.

We were out walking and passed a LOT of Oregon fans.  One group was outside a hotel with a minivan with 4-5 large bags of ice in it, I gather they will be TGing down at the stadium.  I don't recall exactly where they TG there, I know a large hotel is being built nearby and may take up some space.

Beef rib plate and Two fryer birds destined for the Egg here today.    The IU and Purdue people coming later,   must be nice to have your team's game behind you for a party, admittedly the Purdue folks will be a little sour.

Leaving apartment here in a moment to spend the day watching football at my brother's up the road. Our Dad is visiting from out of town so two birds with one stone. I don't think my brother has cable so we'll rely on ABC to get us through the day with Michigan-Colorado St and Oregon-Georgia.

edit: forgot to mention the day's football cuisine. We'll be subsisting on Trader Joe's pizzas. Too many vegetarians in my family for a real BBQ. We are in California after all.

Slept badly, but knocked out a nice six miles this AM, mostly trails. Have lunch plans at a bar for some early games, then gonna settle in and watch until my eyes dry out, with a break for leftover Indian food.

I saw a few Clemson fans also, they may be locals of course, they play Tech Monday here.  These NS games bring in a nice chunk for local tourist things.  The CFB HoF may be full this weekend.  I liked it.

And near the stadium is  the Coke Museum, Ga Aquarium, and a few other touristy spots.  I think CNN moved out this way, they used to have a pretty neat cheap tour.

The aquarium is pricey and full of screaming kids (and some fish), a zoo in effect.  Ha.

3 and out first series vs Colorado State lol. Cade with some pretty shitty throws…one into the dirt at Johnson’s feet and another thrown behind him.

Colorado state is a tomato can I know, but defense looks much better than I thought.

Offense not looking as good as I thought. Keeps stalling out. Need more carries for Donovan Edwards and less Cade McNamara throwing the football.

Two things don’t look great so far: 1) Cade 2) The O-line.

#1 doesn’t surprise me. #2 does. Cade has always been Cade. He’s not consistent and his ceiling isn’t very high, but he also limits mistakes which has always helped him. The O-line not creating bigger holes is concerning.
