I'm not interested in shrimp and grits, I still don't understand its allure.  I like grits just fine, but don't want to pay $29 for grits with a few shrimp thrown in.  This has to be a major profit center for places that serve it, and its very popular around here.  Maybe if it was polenta instead ...

Fried is not the way to eat Gulf shrimp or oysters.

Piccata? For grouper? What are they trying to cover up?

Salmon from where? Definitely not local - unless it's farmed, which is gross.

Atlantic Salmon zone:

Distribution in the Pacific is similar.

Water here is too warm for them, and swordfish, etc.

Just down the street there is a place can eat seafood and watch them unload it from the boats at the same time.

Those are the places I love, and there are plenty of them up there.

I figure Maryland crab cakes are not from around there.  Nor is tuna so far as I know.

There are blue crabs here. Very plentiful.

Lots of tuna varieties too (including Ahi, which is really yellowtail).

Pensacola is great, my sister lived there for almost ten years and we visited often.  Eat some amberjack.
