I'd do Barcelona, Cote d'Azur, Cinque Terre, over Munich and Amsterdam.

I agree except I have not done Munich or Amsterdam.

Yesh Sicily is just a little far off the path from the rest. Given unlimited time and budget I'd want to do Croatia and Greece as well.

Munich is great, I just mentally put it in sort of a different grouping.

Basically it's the "wine tour" versus the "beer tour."

We met some fellow travelers who said Dubrovnik was a place to see.  

I should make a list of the countries I've visited, starting with Oman (no doubt the most obscure place to visit for most Americans).
