the scotch I sipped seemed only watered by the ice cube

and the gin (Bombay Sapphire) martinis I sipped seemed full of something
Yeah I've never had an issue with watered drinks on cruise ships or all-inclusive resorts.

You go on cruises when you have your own boat?
Absolutely.

I've had a boat for ~30 years and been on a lot of cruises.

My boat can't cross the Atlantic... I can get to the Bahamas. 160 gallon tank.

True, if lake Michigan had you worried, you probably aren't zipping around all over the Gulf of America.

I keep thinking that when the zombie apocalypse hits, I need to go find a dude with a boat who knows how to sail it. I know how to sail, but only really little boats. I'm sure it wouldn't take too long to learn the bigger ones.

Better come well-armed.  Pirates.

I sort of learned to sail with my buddy in college that dragged a little catamaran behind his Chevy Baretta.  He's a poor surgeon now with a $1.5 mil boat anchored in his backyard in Gulf Breeze.  I should have worked harder in undergrad.

Harder in undergrad, then even harder in med school, then even harder in residency... :57:

Yeah I learned to sail on my best friend's Hobie cat back when I was in high school.  Haven't done it in a couple decades though.

I'm much more suited, and so far able, to baffle 'em with bullshit.  Don't think you can do that in "science" school.

I let my license go, but I did have a sailing endorsement on my USCG Master Captain license.
