Followed that up with Rombauer, one of our consistent favorites. Didn't do a tasting, just got a couple of glasses of wine. Because we're outdoorsy (i.e. we drink on patios). I mean, I'm sure there are better places in the world to drink a wonderful Zinfandel, but this view is just spectacular.

Finished the tasting day with Duckhorn and Mumm.

Duckhorn had some very nice wine, but severely overpriced... It was a nice tasting, but the wines were as (or more) expensive as the ones my wife talked me out of buying at the castle, and while they were good, they weren't even as good as those. Not worth it to bring anything home.

Mumm... Well, my wife likes bubbles. They had a really nice sparkling wine made from cabernet sauvignon grapes, so we've got a little of that to bring home.

We're staying in downtown Napa, so the Bounty Hunter BBQ & Wine Bar was our choice for dinner. The steakhouse (for our anniversary) will be tonight.

No pictures of the food, which was decent enough. I had a brisket sandwich which had nice flavor, but it wasn't tender enough, and it CERTAINLY wasn't a Texas brisket. I guess it's just another typical experience of Cali BBQ being underwhelming as a norm, and "good" is the exception.

That said, one of the beers on tap was something I had to document. ODB!

We really enjoy Hendry in Napa, if your dance card isn’t already too full. Decent price point for really nice wine.

Dang. Looking at the location it'd be a great stop at the end of our day as we're starting further north and then coming back towards downtown. Unfortunately our last reservation is 3:45-4:45 so won't have time. Appreciate a rec tho.

I love that spot and that island in general. It's my favorite.

Go up to Hanalei if you can.
Just stayed on the beach.  Heading home today. In 2 weeks I go on a 38 day excursion across the Atlantic to Lisbon then across the northern Mediterranean a couple of days in Egypt and ending in Istanbul

Highly recommend Half Moon Bay Ocean Course for anyone who likes golf and finds themselves in the Bay Area. Not crazy expensive (it is a little pricey) and amazing views from basically every hole, finishing strong with three holes right on the cliffs.
