Speaking of the window budget, whose responsibility is a broken window and why?

No clue, but I think it's on the homeowner.

We live on a golf course here, but there is basically zero chance a ball would ever touch us. We overlook the 7th tee and you would have to hit the ball backwards or sideways to hit our place. And if you did, you'd hit the pool cage. And if your missile of a ball managed to penetrate that, it would hit hurricane windows.

I think we're good.

This area is worth a visit for several reasons.  We have stayed in Caen once, and Bayeux three nights at an exceptional "castle" turned hotel. Bayeux was bypassed in the war so is intact, while St. Lo and Caen were almost leveled.  The division numbers are incorrect in the graphic.  Omaha was assaulted by the 1st and 29th divisions, Utah by the 4th

Got my first ever experience driving a Skoda. How wonderful :57:

First time actually driving outside the US with the exception of Canada. First time driving a right-hand drive vehicle, and driving on the left side of the road. And since it is a manual transmission, the first time that I've had to shift entirely left-handed.

We landed in Dublin but our first day was a trip across the entire country to the Cliffs of Moher, followed by a drive from there to Killarney where we're staying the first few days. We're hoping to do the Ring of Kerry today but the weather report looks dicey, so we're trying to figure out over the next 1-2 hours whether or not to chance it.

Incidentally, don't assume a broken window on a fairway-built home is the homeowner's responsibility. Probably depends on the state you are in, but speaking from an unfortunate recent experience, it might well be the golfer's.

fairway-built home is the homeowner's responsibility in my book

shouldn't have built the home in that location

I agree, but my homeowners insurance company doesn't. At least it's a covered event. Sigh.

I've hit more than a few houses in my golfing career

I don't knock on the door to offer to pay for damage

I don't worry about golf balls. I worry about other projectiles.

Just took a Xanax.

Homeowner was sitting in her fairway facing yard when it happened. Sigh.

I would have just smiled and waved as I went by in the golf cart

she can keep the ball for her trouble

My daughter filled the animal bingo card in about 8 hours at Yellowstone this week.  Though the grizzly we saw was actually outside the park.  Saw some huge Big horn sheep roadside which is usually more of a winter sight to see them so close.

I've been to the park about 50 times, and renew my claim that there is no better time to go than October.

Nobody's there, save some Asian tourist buses and a few Euros.  Aspens are gorgeous, temps are perfect.
