Heading to Gulf Shores next week. I've never been there before. We just needed some beach time and didn't want to do Florida. It's convenient to where the MIL lives (Gadsden, AL) as well so we can make a quick stop there along the way. I've got a 9AM tee time in Gadsden on Monday. I'll probably try to get a round in while in Gulf Shores as well.
Be careful out there @LetsGoPeay .

This could also go on the history thread, but since we've been there, I'll stick it in here.

It's a beautiful city. Tons of culture.

I know they are in a lot of cities, but we took a cooking class at this place while we were there.

I forgot about July, which is to say, I had been thinking we were leaving for Sedona next month, but we're going in August.

I guess the heat here now will somewhat prepare me.  It's supposed to hit 98°F here, which is not a record, but close.

I've been checking things to visit around Sedona and it seems there are a lot to see, which is good.

Sedona is not a hot spot (temperature). We've been in the summer (and all seasons).

It's gonna be around 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix at that time of year. Maybe more.

The average high in August is stated to be 97°F in Sedona.  Phoenix is 105°F.

Not the two times we were up there in the summer. Winds were out of the North both times, so there's that.

McDonald's has just one restaurant with a so-called Ski-Thru, located at the Lindvallen ski resort in Sälen, Sweden. The McSki restaurant, as it's also known, opened in 1996 and feeds hungry skiers throughout the winter.
