I drove down to Nashville for a conference this week.   City continues to explode in growth.  I'd like to pull pictures like the ones above from 2000 to 2024.

Nashville consistently has some of the worst traffic I've experienced. They've clearly outgrown the current highway system. I've never driven through Nashville and not had to deal with a massive slowdown and stoppage because of a car just stopped in the middle lane of I-24.

We took a brief trip into the mountains, stayed in Waynesville, NC three nights, and Greenville, SC one night.  Downtown Waynesville is decent, Greenville is really something, to me, they really did that up nicely.  We stayed at a place overlooking the golf course, I asked, and fees are $150 for 18 with cart.  I haven't played golf in years, but that seemed a bit high to me.

Peak golf season in Carolinas.
Hardly any golfers were out even in Sunday when the weather was great.

I think they redid that course a few years back, it looked to be in pretty good shape with some areas still being remediated.

I don't know what greens fees are these days.

I've been to some of those, I wouldn't call the Vatican a museum exactly, but I suppose it is.

I'm sure I figured in 1975 that SSTs would be the way of the future.  There are a couple concepts being developed now, but I think they will remain expensive for obvious reasons.  Maybe a Gulfstream kind of SST for 10 passengers might sell a bit.  And we don't have flying cars either!!!!

Golf is not cheap. 9 holes behind my house costs $38.00 right now. Of course, in a month it will drop to about $15.00.

We have 27 holes here. Executive course.

I was idly thinking of taking it up again.  I probably should hit the range and see where I'm at.
