Other than the standard and common photographs, I used to keep ticket stubs from concerts I went to.  I don't know if "treasure" is the right word, but when I see them I instantly recall the entire night and it makes me happy, so I like the effect they have on me maybe more than I actually like the thing itself.

I kept some for years and years but a few the ink simply vanished over time.

I probably have a few , but I haven’t checked on them in 20 years or more. Maybe since we last moved in ‘03.

Lollapslooza94, buzz fest 1995 among a few.

Yeah, most of them have faded quite a bit, but are still very legible, last I checked.

I had some from the 80s and 90s.  I kept better track of the t-shirts than I did the ticket stubs, I suppose.

Honestly, in the back of my mind, I was saving my t-shirts for my kids anyway and it makes me happy that my daughter loves them so much.  She's always been big on graphic tees anyway, but nothing new can be nearly as cool as an original from the event itself.

My kids have also stolen a couple of my old leather jackets that I saved for similar reasons.  Their styling is too youthful to really suit me anymore but I couldn't let go of them, and am delighted they now have new life.

I have a collection of vintage 80s and 90s concert t-shirts, not signed by anyone, but that I valued.

Of course my 18yo daughter has now managed to steal 93.9% of them.
two daughters - all of mine are gone - most wouldn't fit anyway

odd the 1st time I saw my daughter wearing an old Clash shirt

I have a bunch of concert tickets and sporting event tickets

I wanted to press them in 2 large picture frames in somewhat chronological order.
I failed doing it myself and haven't made the effort to pay someone else to arrange it.

My daughter has stolen the following t-shirts, that I'm aware of:

The Cars Hearbeat City tour
Sting Dream of the Blue Turtles tour
Boston Third Stage tour
Def Leppard Hysteria tour
Van Halen OU812 tour
U2 The Joshua Tree tour
Bon Jovi New Jersery tour
Rush Roll The Bones Tour

I went to a lot more concerts than that but I couldn't afford to buy t-shirts at all of them.

I couldn't afford only a handful of concert shirts - and that was in the 70s & 80s when things were CHEAP!

I guess one reason I kept ticket stubs was because I usually couldn't afford shirts.  Or at least I thought I couldn't.  Might've just been miserly.  Can't remember.  Seemed like I didn't have much money in those days, but in retrospect, I'm sure I could've found a way, and kinda wish I would've.

But do you have a cool jean jacket that would've been uber-hip in the late 80's?  I do.  Extra credit if yours is stonewashed.

Admittedly, mine is from significantly later than the 80's, because my actual blue jean jacket from the 80's was made for an elementary school kid, which is what I was, and would be pointless for me now.  I think my current one actually was purchased in the early aughts.

I have THREE!  (I might have a bit of a hoarding problem but it's all cool stuff I promise).

One is a stonewashed denim Levi's jacket from around 1988.  One is an acid-washed jean jacket from some off-brand that I bought in 1990.

But the coolest one is a white Levi's denim jacket that was my dad's from the 1950s!

But the kids don't seem to be interested in any of those.

I had a good one early-to-mid-90s. Alas, it was relegated to the trash heap of history probably in the late 90s. Bad move.

iirc, in the early-to-mid-90s, Grunge took over the world and I bought basically nothing but flannel shirts for a while to fit in.

Lemme just say.....flannel shirts in the South for most of the year.....nah.  Still have a couple of those and I still like them when it's cold enough, but mostly there's just no good time to wear them much around here.

I didn't go over the top with grunge stuff but I did have a couple of shirts that had flannel bodies but gray sweatshirt-looking sleeves and a gray hood.  I'm pretty sure I bought them at The Gap on campus.

I did not keep those over the years, and I'm fine with it.
