They are stinking up the joint.  A real clunker.  Been a hot minute since I see them look this bad.  and you can’t blame it on a young quarterback he’s played fairly well

No. Fahey has thrown in completed some nice passes.  But every time they make progress, they have a penalty for illegal procedure or holding.

This is pathetic even with a 2nd string qb

The QB isn't the main problem because as I recall Sayin didn't play defense.

Exactly. He’s played pretty well actually.

If you had showed me this box score with Ohio State, having way more first downs, more yards, almost double the rushing yards, and a equal number of turnovers, I would’ve thought they won this game rather easily lol

Or just an enormous advantage in time of possession.

Defense is too average. Fahey wasn't horrible but made a ton of mistakes, as did the whole team. Gonna be a rough go the rest of the season.

He missed a couple throws and caused some of those illegal procedures.

but like me, I think the coaches thought that if he had no turnovers, which he didn’t, and move the offense with relative ease as  he did, and dominated in time of possession, Ohio State would win

I like the way he throws the ball. When he has time and sets his feet he looks good. But he also ran backwards a lot and put his OL in a bad spot. Not gonna judge the guy - he's a freshman. Hence the need for liquor. But the defense was way rougher and not sure there is a cure for that.

The defense sucked.  I wasn’t expecting that since they had been playing very very well
