It has been my experience that the truly dominant college football team--the one that dominates all comers--is pretty rare. There are some examples that seemed like it, but most of them turned out to just be very, very good, relative to their peers, not necessarily other worldly.
All of the remaining teams likely fit into that category: very, very good. I guess I have my doubts about Boise State and Arizona State, but everyone else here "belongs" in the sense that they have lots of very talented players, good coaching, and are capable of wins over very good teams.
I think Georgia is probably better than Notre Dame, but probably not 2014 Alabama vs. 2014 catfished Notre Dame better. And even the better team is perfectly capable of losing one game to an inferior opponent. (See NIU and Ole Miss.)
