It's called a Shouse up north.
Down here, too.  My BIL refers to his barndo as a shouse.

Doubt it.  Back then the Mercedes Benz naming convention designated the engine.  The 380 refers to a 3.8L engine, I think it was a V8.

The 450SL had a 4.5L V8 in it for sure.

Yeah, I'd drive it. $125K new. I'll wait a few years and then test to see if I can get out of it.

I know I can fall into it...

My most frequent motivation is a beverage.
I don't drink while driving

I'll continue to drive my daughter's Mustang convertible, it's plenty sporty enough for me.

When she eventually moves, maybe then I'll just have to buy my '65 or '66 convertible.  This one's available for $30K!

My search on the 380 says aluminum block 3.8 liter V-8, and not real sporty, a cruiser.  Which is fine in my advanced age.  If I feel the need for acceleration, the 6.2 Sierra might give my Highway Patrolman's Mustang a run for a block or two.

As to the start/stop, says it runs but needs a tune-up, and it's going to need brake work.  It's got 160K miles, and what I read advises they had timing chain issues that may need addressed if not before.

I'd need to trailer it somewhere.  Dad has a shed, but it's presently got the pontoon boat under cover for the winter.

Such a bunch of first world problems.
