I mean that ship has sailed, now it's up to making sure the alternates aren't terrible.
I'm not looking forward to the day King Barry hangs 'em up, but hopefully his AD-in-training has the same thought process when it comes to this stuff.

I loved the Badger helmet with the W on the front.

They never should've strayed away from it.

I loved the W on the front (and back) too. A true throwback. Those uniforms for Nebraska.. Kiss my ass, Adidas and Huskers (their bright idea).

Good luck finding any more alternates than those since 1990, other than the occasional red helmet when the prior coach was in town. But please do waste your time digging. Please.

revenge games haven't always gone well for Husker coaches

Doc Tom got a rematch in the Orange bowl with one of Barry's best Sooner teams in 1978

funny that the Badgers rushed for 56 yards on an avg of 1.4 per rush in the first game and 539 on an avg of 10.1 in the revenge game

The Huskers rushed for 259 and averaged 5.6 in the first game and 282 on 6.4 in the second

football is a crazy game, the best team doesn't always win.

Just wear this

And call it a day. Drop the row the Boat crap too.
The Gophers have worn the banana uniforms before, on Opening Night At The New Brickhouse. I don't care for them, but it turned out well then, so the jury is still out.
The sooner the Row the Boat bull gets dumped, the better. It's a beating in-stadium. I understand that Fleck has more of a coaching resume than Brewster could dream of having, but the Gophers have already fallen for one used car salesman schtick. I'll wait until he gets it done on the field.

Also Sugar Shane Morris, after a rough debut with the Chips was 28-37 for 467 yards, 5 TD and 0 INT in their 45-27 win over Kansas on Saturday
Kansas stinks, but it's nice to see Shane do well. He always had insane physical talent. Off the charts raw talents. Just never clicked upstairs and he probably never had a shot with the way his career started off under Hoke. He went through 3 different OC's and offense in successive years and Inthink his confidence was shattered and he was never able to get it back.

Just twice to my recollection, with the "retro" thing. A couple of games with a red helmet.

The uniforms with the W on the front and back were awesome, right down to the true cardinal color. What they wear now is not cardinal, but the boss likes it and it's not changing Neither is his motion W. I've stated many times that I like the block W better, but he brought the motion W in and the whole school uses it now.

The current incarnation pales in comparison to the one with the W on the front. They should revisit their decision to change that.

It reminds me of the Dartmouth helmet. Old school.

Of course googling that up reveals that Dartmouth has a chromed out version of that helmet.

And in black.

Probably because he wore it in college.
