(I’m mildly stressing about my coming pivot, but for the moment, making sure to wring what I can out of my current salary)

You almost can't charge enough to make any money.  Especially in the BBQ business.  And when you do charge enough to make decent money, everybody will complain that it's too much and run you down, even though nobody forced you to eat there.  This is what my friends in the RR business say.

Blood bath here at work today.  Company announced layoffs a few months ago to the tune of 4500 world wide.  I guess they just now got their ducks in a row.  

I've heard from quite a few people I know, some well, some in passing.  Right now I know of probably 12 or so that got the boot.  Some were more than ready, and simply waiting for a nice severance.  Some didn't want to go.  Shocked by some of the names on the list, some really good, hardworking, smart people in my opinion.  

Funny...I told my boss 2-3 months ago to put me on that list that we all knew was coming.  Haven't heard my name yet, but I'm still hopeful.  The strange part is that within a few weeks I may formally retire.

I just watched a utube on The Villages this morning.  They did try to dispel the "STD Capital" and Pineapple/Loofa rumors, but you can't fool me--it's 7-1 ratio women to men...

My old lady er ISCA Wife is a Certified Massage Therapist.  She could make a killing there.  Maybe I wouldn't even need to work, but I can cook...

I'm 6 months into 55+ eligibility!
