We go to Hilton Head about once a year, stay in a nice place on the beach.  They have a few pretty good restaurants there, one is Hudson's Seafood.

Hudson's Seafood House on the Docks - Hilton Head, South Carolina
Hudson's Seafood House on the Docks - Hilton Head, South Carolina

We work with fishermen based on Hilton Head Island and in Charleston, Georgia and northern Florida to ensure we get only the freshest seasonal catches such as swordfish, mahi-mahi, grouper, tilefish, triggerfish, vermilion snapper, and black sea bass. All of our fish are brought in whole, filleted in-house, and added to the daily lunch and dinner specials.

Each Spring, we have our own soft shell crab shedding operation at Hudson’s. Our shedding boxes are constructed in the packinghouse with a water circulating system to facilitate and manage the molting process. When the crabs back out of their shells, they are immediately removed and served to hungry guests. Last year we shed out and served over 2,300 soft shell crabs.

One other terrific place is this:

Jazz Corner - The Jazz Corner

They offer really good food and excellent classical jazz.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Runza announced on Friday that they were voted #1 for USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Regional Fast Food.

“You voted. You cheered us on. You probably told at least one out-of-stater, ‘No, seriously, you have to try it,’” A Runza spokesperson posted to social media. “...Thank you to everyone who voted and see you later to celebrate!”

Runza beat out North Carolina’s Biscuitville and Ohio’s Skyline Chili.

Runza was voted #5 for USA Today’s 2025 Best Regional Fast Food.

Well, any poll that had Skyline Chili anywhere near the top is, in my view, not a valid poll.

This would also fit in the happy thread.

We went to our club last night, for this meal. Everyone was dressed up in white, and the room was decorated really nice. Pretty cool.

Great meal - and only $40.00.

bite-sized upon arrival, then swallowed!

potato skin is crispy in the soup upon arrival, eat quickly or it could get soggy

Caesar Salad, Bucatini Bolognese, vanilla ice cream
(I'd probably let someone else have the dessert)
