I used to wonder why they check your passport when leaving Europe, I finally figured it out, duh. That can be a real delay if changing planes in say CDG.
We're headed to Colorado next week, our first trip on a plane since France Jan/Feb 2020. I got seats up front with my credit card, one was "free". I think other than masks, it will be "normal", as beta notes above. I hear the airport is back to being crowded. They pass over 100 million flyers through ATL each year, a really remarkable figure I think, and are building another runway.
