Prime Time v. The Ghost of Nebraska (SOC 9/8 and 9/9)
« on: September 08, 2023, 06:29:27 PM »
I'm kind of laid up with some sort of sickness, and two B1G games are starting here within the hour, so I'm throwing out the game thread 12 hours early. Executive decision ran up all the proper flagpoles.

Anyways, I was planning on BBQ tomorrow - supposed to be great weather. But that is probably not happening because I don't want to snot all over the food. It's not quite chili weather, so no need to stock up on beans just yet. Though a one pot meal that I don't have to think about much is attractive. The kids have taekwondo in the morning, maybe I'll see what I can get together. The kids have taekwondo in the morning - it's next to that Kroger where that lady got shot by the cops. Hopefully they have something good on sale and I won't get shot.

That's good PR -  next to the store where that lady got shot. Maybe better to open a fire arms joint
Suburbia:Where they tear out the trees & then name streets after them.

I think Colorado wins pretty easily, just don't see Nebraska holding pace and being able to go score for score and I have zero faith in Jeff Sims.

I hope I am wrong though. I hope Nebraska plays with a chip on their shoulder, makes it an ugly ass defensive battle and that they don't turn the ball over. A guy can dream, right? I was pro-Coach Prime but he's going after the #1 player in Michigan and the entire nation in QB Bryce Underwood and now I want him to lose every single game here on out and fall flat on his face. LETS GO CORNHUSKERS. Wtf is a corn husker by the way?

I was thinking Nebraska would pull the upset all week - they seem to play functional defense, which isn't something TCU does. But even if they play well I have zero faith they can actually get a win. Another close loss feels destined.

that's about where I'm at. have to score points to get the upset. how is Nebraska going to score? Shedeur Sanders is too good and those weapons at WR are legit with Horn, Hunter, and the RB Edwards...they are going to score some points. how does Nebraska?

I'm pulling for the Huskers, but think the Cheater Buffs will probably win it.

Not cooking this weekend, we're hosting my son's 14th birthday party during the day so delivery pizza will be on order, and then tomorrow night for "The Big Game" I'm meeting some buds at a chicken wing sports bar joint.  Probably to commiserate, maybe to celebrate.

well, I don't follow or watch much HS football, so I appreciate Illinois vs Kansas
