Last week in parenthesis
1. PENN STATE (2) - look like the most complete team right now
2. WISCONSIN (3) - tough to judge based on the competition
3. MICHIGAN (4) - not going to win the Big Ten with Speight, and Speight won't be there next year. Why keep playing him?
4. OHIO STATE (1) - the secondary is concerning, but Lagow and Mayfield are about as tough as it gets back to back
5. IOWA (5) - funny things happen in those road rivalry games, bullet dodged
6. MARYLAND (6) - did what they needed to do
7. INDIANA (7) - nice job not letting OSU beat them twice
8. MINNESOTA (9) - after 6 quarters, the offense finally woke up
9. MICHIGAN STATE (11) - defense looks much improved from 2015 and 2016, but they can't beat better teams with the turnovers and special teams miscues
10. NEBRASKA (10) - still not sure what to think. 42 points has to be the most ever given up in a half where the other half was a shut out
11. PURDUE (12) - still think ultimately they need to pick a QB
12. NORTHWESTERN ( 8 ) - Northwestern did this last year too remember
13. ILLINOIS (13) - glad I didn't drop them behind Rutgers, but still wouldn't pick them to beat Northwestern on a neutral field tomorrow
14. RUTGERS (14) - that's why I wasn't ready to buy in on improvement after a not blowout, but not close loss in Week 1
