honestly can't believe Tucker turned that program around into an 11 win season and beat Michigan twice in a row. From where that program was when he took over to where they are now is freaking night and day. Hell of a coaching job and turnaround.

The ACC Network having their big studio show live from the Peach Bowl is a little sad

As usual, your definition of night and day is a tad strong.

The program was in a bad spot mood-wise, but the floor was still somehow quite solid.

I rarely say this, but Go Spartans. I'm being a nice guy this holiday season and rooting for the B1G to have good showings in the bowl games.

Kevin Jarvis wasn't there last minute, after taking all of the first team reps, and Jarrett Horst wasn't able to go.  I knew Horst was out, missed that Jarvis missed at the last second.  Down both starting tackles and Walker was a big reason the run game couldn't get anything going.

I don't know. They were 7-6 Dantonio's last year, lost a lot of players to transfers, roster was in shambles, and program was mirred in lot of scandal/controversy. After the way they looked in Tucker's 1st year when they went 2-5 to where they are now- it was an incredible turnaround.

I think 2-5 was the result of a new staff coming it immediately before a pandemic.  They went to bowls in Dantonios.final three seasons.  They probably would have won between 5-7 games in perpetuity.  The problem was he found 2* and low 3* gems early, and it gave him too much leeway late.  He wasn't finding those guys.  He was basically just poaching high end MAC players, rather than go through another 2016 recruiting cycle.  And a top end MAC team is about what we were.
